The First of Many

Our neighbors have a scary porch. It's sagging, but looking at it I don't know where it is going to. The post looks like it's shrinking, not sinking or bowing out (although the face boards are popping off). The base looks fine but the top is way too low.

I am not sure how that can be. One night we'll be woken to the sound of it crashing in to our bedroom.

um... that is highly disturbing!

iphone keyboard

It's working pretty good but I wish when it made suggestions it would give a few options instead of one at a time.

I'm typing this post from it and haven't had to hit backspace once yet. For me it's a big step up, but Paul I'm sure you'd be frustrated by the non-802.11 wireless speeds. Not too bad though definitely usable.

There is no way to upload files through regular web pages which is pretty annoying. Have to email them or sync to get photos off.

All in all I love it. Those are my only complaints as far as basic functionality go.

They both work but the mobile site is quicker and easier to navigate.
paul - 07/01/07 13:36
Do you use the normal site for this or the mobile site? For example my not phone running firefox renders all the javascript etc of the real site, but it is definitely more convenient to use the mobile site as it renders so much quicker.

Well That Didn't Last Long

I got one. An iPhone. The number I was assigned is awesome. The number is sort of like a full house in poker, if you think about it.

435-5888

or

HELL-888

or

HELL-TUTU

If only it was 666.

I'm looking forward to seeing it Tuesday!

iPhone
Category: apple
(e:James) won't let me get an iPhone.
james - 06/29/07 23:33
Well, you could beadazzle my buttless chaps?

And if ever any of you doubt my infinite awesomeness look upon this entry and weep at your inadequate awesomaninity.
jim - 06/29/07 23:18
(e:James) is awesome and is my favorite person. He let me get one.

His birthday is coming up so I will lavish him with something ridiculous.
jenks - 06/29/07 18:32
if i weren't stuck at fucking work i'd be in line right now... I just tried to order online but the store is down. I may just 'swing by' the att store on transit later on on the crazy chance that they haven't sold out and there's no line. (yeah right).

once again, i have thrown all logic and reason to the wind and am totally caught up in 'gotta have it' fever. Kinda pathetic.
paul - 06/29/07 18:06
I want one so bad but I am stuck in this stupid sprint contract, argh. Who will be the first (e:peep) to get one. I am also waiting to hear the word on tethering?
carolinian - 06/29/07 17:34
He just needs to take a long, hot bath in Steve Job's Reality Distortion Field.

1. A beadazzler is something everyone should own, clearly that was a wise purchase.

2. An iphone is also something everyone should own. I say if you don't get your way do like all bitter housewives do and with hold sex and then threaten divorce..

jason - 06/29/07 15:12
Jim, do what everyone else does. Hide cash from your partner. If anyone asks where you got the iPhone say it was a gift.
jim - 06/29/07 14:56
But I need one for research purposes, don't you see?
james - 06/29/07 14:55
(e:Jim) thinks he deserves ever hot damn new gadget on the market.

I am still making payments on that precious beadazzler of yours mister!
