is it wrong that i always assume that the la nova on main street is not as good as the la nova in buffalo?

flying home(e:Anne) and I are in Alabama for the weekend with our family. We're supposed to come home tonight, but apparently the weather is going to be bad. My dad gets very dramatic when he hears that weather is going to be an issue, and was already talking about getting a hotel room for tonight just in case. Even when I just go to Fredonia for my voice lessons, he always warns me that he heard about bad weather. Anyway hopefully we'll make it back today...NOT that I wouldn't mind missing school tomorrow, but (e:Anne) doesn't want to miss her Spanish class again (the same class I made her skip on Wednesday....oooooops).

pizzajimmyeatworldsistersshamelessplug(e:Mike) and I went out tonight around quarter of 10 with the idea of getting some coffee because neither of us were very hungry. So we go to Spot where it totally looked like it was closing because a worker was cleaning and the people behind the counter were ignoring us and cleaning out blenders or something. So we left and sat in his car discussing where to go next, and while we were in there, we definitely saw people go inside, making us wonder if Spot was actually closing or if they just hate us. So anyway, since we're not very hungry still, we debated about places to go where we could get something small. Well anyway to make a long story short after about half an hour of driving around looking at places and almost getting shot (well in our heads), we ended up splitting a large cheese and pepperoni pizza at LaNova. We are such fatties but mmm it was so good. I really love La Nova.
(e:Mike) and I also made the odd discovery that we both ended long hiatuses (hiatusi?) from doing crunches and started up again today. So look out for sexy abs comin from Kenmore.
This last weekend I did something that is highly unexpected, slightly trashy, and kind of exciting. I have no regrets.
My hands are always cold.
I used to love Jimmy Eat World. I have seen them in concert 4 times and always had such a great time and I used to be obsessed. Then around my junior year of college I stopped listening to anything other than classical music and sort of forgot about them. I bought their latest album sort of out of necessity but never really got into it. I think is partially because it's not as good as their two previous efforts, but I was also friends with people who weren't into them. So now I'm rekindling my Jimmy flame and am trying to fall in love with their latest album. It's been awhile since I've listened to this kind of stuff but I hope I haven't grown past it or something. The next time they come to town I would like to go see them. (e:Anne) and I once roadtripped to Hamilton, Ontario to see them. It was sooooo much fun. That was during the awful summer when (e:Anne) was my lifeline and constant entertainment! Well I guess she always is...isn't that what sisters are for...but she really went above and beyond that summer of '02. She also did the same last winter when I graduated from Fredonia and hated my life. How many people would let their 22 year old older sister sleep in their not very large single bed just because she couldn't be in her room by herself without sobbing hysterically?? Sisters rock. (e:Anne) rocks.
Wow I really can go off on a tangent if I want to. There are actually about 100 more things I can post about but I don't think anyone really cares?
I'm on break this week. Teaching is soooo sweet. I get so much freakin vacation time it's really out of control. Of course I have no idea what I'm going to teach when we get back. And when I say no idea, I really mean NO idea. I have no curriculum to follow and I've done a lot of what I wanted to do at the beginning of the year. But I have the rest of April, May and part of June to fill up. Wow. Good thing I usually work in week-long segments. Like I'll usually start a unit on Monday, and if it starts going crappy, I just count the days until Friday and then start over again the next week. Thank God for weekends.
Okay I'm done now but it's time for my first plug...
More details will be coming... but you should come see me sing...I'm wearing a beautiful dress...and I can carry a tune pretty well...and there will be free food afterwards...clear your calendars!!!!
Good night and thanks for reading this far!

I forgot about Jimmy Eat World. They where a pretty good band. I think the last time I saw them live was at Molson Candian Snow Jam years ago. I almost saw them last summer or the summer before with Green Day at the HSBC Arena but I had a conflict with something else the same day.

happy feetI'm watching the beginning of Happy Feet. I love penguins so this is very exciting for me, but I'm confused as to why all of the other penguins grew up to look like regular penguins, yet Mumble looks basically the same as he did when he was a baby penguin, just taller and with a deeper voice? Is this just to emphasize even more that he's different, or did Disney just need to distinguish him? This movie is very cute so far but I'm about to fall asleep so I'll have to finish it tomorrow. Penguins are the best!

You will be happy to know that there is yet another animated movie about penguins coming out. It is called Surfs Up and the penguins surf, I kid you not I saw the preview for it before grindhouse and it was one of the legit ones.

Watch Happy Feet while listening to techno? Could this be our generations answer to The Wizard of OZ/Pink Floyd?

i think penguines are hot but this movie bored me a little. it's better if you turn off the sound and listen to techno. it makes it a whole different movie. no clue why they made him look so different, but i thought he had adorable eyes :)

this is a wierd post, but......how and why is it that every morning I wake up thinking, "ugh I feel so fat today", yet I go to sleep almost every night thinking "ugh, I ate too much today."
My junior year of college, the discovery was made by some of my friends that I have no chin. More specifically, I have a very weak jaw line, giving the impression that I have very little change between my mouth and my neck. This spawned a new nickname for me, 'Meck'. It's a clever little name that sounds sort of like my actual nickname, but in reality it was referring to my hideous lack of defined chin.
Although I've graduated and stopped letting people call me that, I feel as though it haunts me all the time. I check in every mirror I see and basically gauge the way I feel about my body that day based on how thin I look in the face. And don't get me started on pictures. I hate posting any pictures that emphasize it! I swear sometimes I look like I weigh 20 lbs more than I actually do in some pics that are taken from the neck up. Not that I think I'm so skinny but enough of you have seen me to at least know I would probably be considered a slim person - well to anyone other than (e:Mike)- but when it comes to the neck up, I look hideous.
I know everyone has something about their body or about themselves in general that they are not happy about, and this is obviously mine. I never even really thought about it until that fateful day in 2004 when someone looked at me and said "you have like, no chin."
Ugh. Maybe someday I'll stop caring but I don't see it happening anytime soon.
And when you all see me next, try not to stare :)
and oh yeah...Happy Easter!

what are you gonna do, get plastic surgery? then I'd just call you Leno for the rest of our lives, and is that really better? and remember that girl from fredonia who really didn't have a chin? she was unfortunate. You are a loser. See the difference? Maybe its cuz I'm your sister but I've never once looked at you and thought that your jawline was weird or unattractive, unless you had food all over it.then again i don't really think about if i find you attractive, thats weird. i have to go to work

There is nothing there so I guess that is weird but not the kind of Weird you where going for. Hey maybe the easter bunny took it and is hiding it and you have to find it. Oh one thing I forgot to mention on the previous post is that you ladies not only looked like you where having fun, you all looked pretty good doing it.

my girlfriend is terrified of going to the one in buffalo because of the neighborhood. Not that it thrills me either, but for the best pizza in the world I feel it's worth it!
I have never been to the one on main. But I'm guessing that it is like Just Pizza that the one on French Rd. isn't as good as the one on Elmwood.
Its the fake La Nova.
did you go there, at 11 oclcok at night and eat a whole pizza again? Did you? by the by I really did write that whole news journal and eidted it and stuff so there were no typos and stuff. unlskike this comment.
It's kinda like sloppy seconds....not the real thing, but an incredible simulation
