We ate at Jimmy Macs tonight. I saw the graphic designer from some project at work but didn't say anything. I am really bad at talking to people I don't usually interact with unlike (e:enknot) who can talk with anyone. The shrimp and scallop with angel hair pasta was delicious.
I have a serious weakness for Necco waffers. Their pure sugary goodness makes me drool. I ate a whole tub of them yesterday. When I am eating them I get into this zone where I just can't stop. I crunch and crunch. Sometimes I get so into them that I almost choke requiring water. I am sure it is really bad for my teeth but I am not willing to give it up.

I haven't seen these kind of dice since the time before my first computer.

My Birthday PartyCategory: holiday
On Friday, January 19th I am having a birthday party at the 24. I am thinking it is going to be a pajama party. Wear whatever you want. I will actually be 30. I haven't figured out the details yet but just reserve some time in your schedule. Everyone is invited - accept Nick Matteliano, who keeps issuing threats to the estrip.org online community (e:news,935)

In case I forget to say itHappy Early Birthday. I plan on being there with my camera. I will admit no Pajamas for me for two reasons 1. I don't have any. 2. If i did walking there and home in Pajamas wouldn't be to good. What would be kinda funny to do (but way to much effort) would be to get a huge pink Bunny set like in a christmas story.

I makes me wonder if I should have just joined the darkside and been a scammer. The fact that I received this from someone on my userlist means that they fell for it. I am sure so many other people do to.
I wonder how much money all those nigerian bank scams make. Must be more lucrative than being a landlord.

I hated appleCategory: mobile
I generally do not like apple products but it's been over a year since I got my windows Mobile phone and they haven't improved significantly. Also my birthday is coming up and I need to decide on something before I get nothing. In comes the apple iPhone
I really hope I get this for my birthday. At first I will use wifi until I am finally free of sprint. Then I will have to rejoin cingular. I am kind of sad to move to cingular because sprint is so fast but their customer service sucks and I actually think I end up paying more with them.
The other advantage of having a cingular connection is that it will enable all of my old devices to work again as you can switch sim cards. The htought of having a real mobile browser that renders liek safari make me so freakin' excited. It is like the web on my phone. Not the pocket IE crappy version of the web on my phone. This may actually revolution mobile internet. Not just because it is an apple browser, but because it will be hyped up so much.
The one thing I am not sure baout is if I am ready to give up my qwerty keyboard. I did this once before and i hated that withe the nokia 7710.
the real problem is that it is not for sale yet and has this warning on the apple site.:
This device has not been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission. This device is not, and may not be, offered for sale or lease, or sold or leased, until authorization is obtained.

Man, did no one even read my post? I have links and all that... ;) But yeah, it's not coming out til june. :( But basically they had to announce it now b/c they're applying for the FCC approval- which I guess makes the info public, and they wanted to be the ones to announce it in typical apple fanfare style, rather than have it leak out.
I wish it had a bigger HD. They were hyping this widescreen video ipod... I was holding off on replacing my 60gb that was stolen... and as much as I want this phone, it's more like a nano- can't replace my big ipod. Oh well. I have 6mo to decide if I'm willing to spend the money anyway. Guess I need a new ipod in the meantime, then.
Appletv on the other hand- lame. (and for me to criticize an apple product- wow!). My bro-in-law has been waiting for this thing to come out for months. But it ONLY plays stuff from itunes, as far as I can tell. And does anyone have enough video bought of itunes that they're willing to spend $300 to connect it to their tv? (when you can just connect your video ipod to the tv in the meantime?) If it would stream ANY video, that would be a different story. But I guess they want to support the itunes store... I'm sure someone will hack it though.

Wow, that is so lame. Why even demo a product that isn't going to be out for 6 months. Now this is freakin ridiculou. I want a wii and an iphone. I am totally willing to purchase either and yet there are none to be purchased. By the time the iphone comes out in june the is a good chance I will want something else and they will have missed their mark. Same with the wii. By the time one is available I might not even want one anymore.

The phone will allegedly be available in June.
Having been a Windows (or linux/unix) user all my life I have to admit that the new computers Apple haved released over the past few years have looked amazing to me.
Of course, when it comes down to the nitty gritty, I'll end up just buying parts and having (e:jason) put a box together for me anyway... we are sticklers for having the right hardware. Speaking of - (e:jason) wants to build a new computer using one of the new Intel Dual Core jobbies.
Apple had many technical problems during the development of the iPhone that I was reading about - it appears as if they solved them. Apple's hallmarks are in simplicity and beauty combined into one product.
The phone will fit the bill, and for those of you who may be critical of the price, also think of it this way - with a 4 or 8 gig disk in the iPhone and the iTunes capability you are going to effectively end up with an iPod Nano/Phone hybrid... in those terms $500 seems somewhat reasonable.

there is no way i could ever justify spending 500 dollars on a phone. AND it doesn't have a keyboard? so they're going to do a touch screen keyboard? i can't imagine how effective that'll be and i wonder what the insurance will cost per month for a $500 price tag, and just like with other apple products the price is NOT going to go down over time, which sucks ass.

I depends on what service you are paying for. I had cingular the year before last and used their edge service with my Nokia 7710. It was able to stream video and music without much problem. I got around 200k/sec. That service costs around $44/month + phone service.

I bet you're going to get a lot of questions about this one ...
Mostly I'm concerned about whether it will be practical to have one in this area. Cingular's casual data service [ie, what I get when I push the wrong button on my phone] is fantastically awful, at least for me. It's too slow to even be able to pretend that the 'wireless web' is usable; I can't imagine what it would be like to try browsing the Real Web with it while polling IMAP in the background.

it looks neat, but i hate apple on sheer premise. after owning my 1 apple product, i can say i will never buy apple again. ever. i would rather cut off my gaming thumbs than to give money to that company again. if you know me, that means a bit.
but i can see where you stand regarding the rest of the situation- allowing the use of all your other devices. that, however, IS a good selling point. for you.

Trip To WegmansCategory: food
Went on a quick shopping trip to wegmans. They now have a diaper chaging station in the men's room. This is not to weird in itself but what is weird is that they supply the diapers in like 10 different sizes.
They sell pomegranite seeds. Seems like everything is getting more convenient these days.
I think this is ridiculous. I mean who is going to pay almost $2.00 for a half of a tiny apple cut up. I know I wouldn't and what a waste of plastic.
I bought crab meat and at it with yummy lemon butter sauce. I figure got to hurry up and eat it all before there is no more seafood in the ocean.
It probably will not help my strange high blood pressure. The second number just keeps climbing up and it seems to be in the high blood range now. I am, however, on astragalus today for my lungs and I think it raises your blood pressure. Will I die if both numbers are the same? Jenks, anyone?

I know thats why I track them twisted. At first I thought it was the astragalus but then I read, "Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus) has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years to promote the discharge of urine, lower blood pressure, and increase endurance." So great I was on a blood pressure reducing herb when I got that reading.

Funny, I put a pomegranate in my salad last night and was thinking "what a pain in the ass, I wish I could buy it already opened up."
I wouldn't worry about the BP. The bottom number (diastolic) being VERY high is not great, but 91 is no big deal. (And they can't ever be the same. Won't happen.) :)

you could always just quit smoking for your health, too. most people think they die of cancer from cigarettes, but thats not the case. generally its lung failure or emphysema, or the like. i dunno. ive always had nightmares about drowning to death, and thats pretty much what happens.
mmmmm that pasta looks so tasty. i'm joining you in the quest to eat all seafood now before it is is gone.
