My Head Mounted Camera
Category: hardware
My head mounted camera that (e:naturephoto) 's suggested when we were chatting one night. It seems pretty awesome.

The package reports that it can be used up to 3 meters underwater and has some people scuba diving with it. It takes a standard memory card and uses standard usb and has a tv hookup. It is the epitomy of standard., I cannot wait to see what version of movie it makes. The package reports it record at 640x480 at 30fps.

It is weird to have a camera without a viewfinder but it rocks that you can attach it to your body and that it costs only ~$120.

What is silicone grease and why don't I want to eat it?
image

Here is a video from it. It is about 800k which is quite tiny. I makes standard compliant avi files that works in both windows media player and quicktime. The camera simply mounts as an external drive just like a usb jump drive with all the videos on it - without a driver or install disk! I think that is a miracle. However, the videos look really bad in low light as is expected for $100.

That is so cool! What is anybody going to get you for your birthday if you keep buying fun stuff for yourself? Hmm, I wonder how much it costs to ship Ikea silverware, haha.
pyrcedgrrl - 01/05/07 15:33
Make sure you don't give in to the urge to eat the silicone grease.
paul - 01/04/07 21:52
The ports are sealed inside the rubberized tube and have a rubberized screw on cap.
kookcity2000 - 01/04/07 21:50
the silicone grease is probably for waterproofing efforts.

is there a seal for the ports?
that does sound cool

Neon Thai Buffet Sucks
Category: food
This food is from Neon Thai Buffet on Niagara Falls Blvd. I would say it is as disgusting as it looks after I ate it. The reason I took the picture in this state is that i didn't want anyoen to think that it was maybe even good. They barely had any food, I am still hungry - it cost me around $10 and the food they had was not very hot. It appeared they were cooking as people came in to try and keep waste down and save money, but what really happend is they didn't have enough hot food that tasted good.

Have you ever been to a buffet where most of the food was gone during the middle of the Buffet hours. Wh

Saddam Is Dead
Category: war
Is the war over now? I wonder if we will ever witness the execution of an American Leader in our lifetimes. I am sure the iraqis never thought they would see Saddam Die.

I wonder what will happen with Iraq now?
metalpeter - 12/30/06 14:10
Iraq Will always be a mess. I don't think Saddam's death changes anything. After we won the war we dispaned there army, turns out that was a bad idea. The people in that army could keep order and things undercontrol. You have 3 groups of people who don't like each other and never did but Saddam when he wasn't murdering Shites could keep them in line. Can you train the new Military yes but the problem is by the time they are good enough (and everyone is loyal) everyone in the country is going to hate us even those people who are glad we are there. How would you like it if the military came into buffalo and said Giamabra is a crook and they exposed all the evil Buffalo politians and through them all out of office and Said we now rule Buffalo. At first Yes. But when you are walking home drunk from a bar or to a bar and they point a gun at you and tell you to go home it isn't fun anymore. When they tell you how to live and belive that they are better then you and that you need saving it isn't so good anymore. When you call the cops cause your house was broken into and the military thinks you might be the person who broke in a draw M-16 on you as they ask for ID (oh yeah that was stoletn) so you can't prove you live there then it gets a little scary. I'm not sure what the soulution is maybe make iraq 3 countries or areas and have one goverment run by each sect. We are the ones that caused all this trouble we owe it to the people to try to fix there country in a timely matter.
ladycroft - 12/30/06 12:08
well, sylvia brown did predict Bush would pull troops out of there this year...jk jk jk! I wonder if there is validity to the threat of terrorist activities in response to his death.
