psychological illusions
- wake up...rj really leaves for school...back to sleep*
rj is gone and so is random other little brother-type person. it is morning. i look out the window and see an area like my backyard before the mean old lady bought the property behind ours and built a huge house. there was a nice field and lots of trees. i sigh, longing to be outside in the sun instead of in this cold prison. a girl i don't know comes upstairs and tells me that she knows a way i can escape. i have to kiss every person that i come across as i run away, and each person i kiss will strengthen a magic shield that this girl will place between me and the man with white hair. i run outside and around the building. i have to go up a hill a little bit and then man with white hair is lounging on the grass in the sun. he sees me! he gets up and tries grab me, but i turn around quickly and kiss the girl who let me out. now he can't touch me. he watches me with furious eyes as i run through the neighborhood kissing every person i see. eventually i make it to a lake surrounded by trees and huge rocks. rj is there waiting for me. we need to swim across the lake to be free. we get in the water and make it almost to the opposite shore when we realize what has happened. the rocks on this side are shaped like the man with white hair. one is shaped like his foot, another like his hand and then his head, with eyes open and watching us. the only way to escape now is to swim all the way back to the far shore and barter with the black man standing there for a ride on his space craft. *in waking retrospect, i don't know why the man who imprisoned me was all white and the man who saved me was black. there must be something psychologically important to me there* he agrees to let us on his ship.
- dream shifts focus*
we are standing in a line, a mob really, of people waiting to get into the ship. this ship is not small, it is more like an entire city. *i never see the actual outside of the ship* now we are inside the lobby and waiting to find our seats. lucky for us, we have first class seats on this flight. we sit down and try to get comfortable. we hear people around us talking and then we realize something important. all these people are talking about Mr. X. *i know the person's real name, i just do not wish to share it with the rest of the world, by chance that person reads this* everyone is talking about how important he is and how they can't wait to meet him. rj and i realize this is the person we hate most in the world, and we need to get out of the first class section so we do not have to encounter him. we get up and head towards the elevator. we don't know what is above us, but we will risk it. the elevator goes up but as it does gravity is gone. we must hang on to the side so we don't get thrown around. the elevator stops on a floor which resembles an upper tower of a medieval castle. there are some walls, but we can see outside from the edge of the room. we begin to realize that we are not in space, but still on earth, on the other side of the lake from where we wanted to be. ahead of us we see the man with white hair. he laughs evilly and tells me to stand against the wall while rj watches. he is about to whip me with a chain across my front when the elevator arrives with a prisoner and a policeman. the prisoner is an alien, dark green, with tentacles. the white haired man likes this alien even better than me and chains him up to the wall next to me. he whips the alien across the face with the chain twice. the throws the chain backwards and whips himself in the back. he laughs, then begins beating the alien again
. i take this as my opportunity to escape. rj and i quickly make for the elevator and go down, holding on for dear life for lack of gravity. we arrive in the third class section of the ship. we need to use the bathroom and see that there is a mob waiting for this also. my female friend who saved me earlier is waiting in line and she sees me and calls me over to her. rj is allowed to go right through to the bathroom. my friend has potty vouchers that allow her so many free uses, but i have nothing. she begs and pleads and i am allowed to use the bathroom. i walk over to one where the door is open, but find that there is a woman giving birth in there. i finally find an empty bathroom and close the door. turns out the toilet only had half a seat and it was slanted downward at an obscene angle. i have to hold on to the wall in order to sit on it. this is nearly impossible. my friend comes into help me.
- there might have been more dream after that, but i woke up shortly thereafter*

hard day's night
Then I went to work and did more manual labor than I have ever done at that store before. I had to use a big pole to take dusty clothes down off the displays, then I had to climb a ladder all the way to the ceiling to take down signs and banners and mannequins (which, by the way, had high heels, belly buttons, and dimples in their asses, but no upper bodies). In total, I took down 8 signs, 3 banners, and 12 mannequins, all by myself. I had to take off my shoes to climb the ladder or I would have died. Then I had to take all the pants off the mannequins. Then I had to take out a bunch of yucky garbage.
It wasn't a bad day, I'm just tired. 8*
(e:twisted) I was reading your journal and saw Rhinebeck NY!!! I'm from Columbia County originally, and my boyfriend is from the Red Hook/Pine Plains area. :) Isn't it great there?

olfactory memories
the smell of warm spring rain on fresh grass just born
and the smell of the warm asphalt in the evening after a rain shower as the twlight sky danced above
ps: to the girl who lives below me, if you ever read this, i think i heard you singing as i walked up the stairs this evening. you have a beautiful voice.

daydreaming
Is never too long
Your heart arrives before train
The journey home
Is never too long
Some yesterdays always remain
I'm going back to where my heart was light
When my pillow was a ship I sailed through the night
The journey home is never too long
When open arms are waiting there
The journey home is never too long
There's room to love and room to spare
I want to feel the way I did there
And think my wishes through before I wish again
The journey home is never too long
Home hopes to heal the deepest pain
The journey home is never too long
Your heart arrives before the train
Not every boat you come across is one you have to take
Now sometimes standing still can be the best move you ever make.
