taste of sunburn

i had a good time at the taste downtown today.
it was my first time.
i got major sunburn though.
i apologize to my skin.

then i saw spiderman 2.
it rocked.

getting up early tomorrow.
teaching little kids how to read...

having a bad day

I'm having a bad day.

I started off this morning with a stomach ache. So, I took a Pepcid. Stupid me, I took a berry flavored one. I am allergic to strawberries. I have had bad itchy hives all day.

Then, I got yelled at a little at work. Then, they put me on register for the first time. I dropped all the dimes on the floor. I think my finger got stuck in the cup or something. Then, this lady wanted pants that were $50 but they were hung up incorrectly on the sale rack. So I had to tell her that they weren't on sale, so then she didn't want them. But, then she did want them, but, first I had to get a manager. So she ended up getting them for the sale price. That's bullshit. Then, this girl came up with a bunch of clothes and three pairs of sandals. She only wanted to buy the sandals so that she could have a bag to put them in while she tried on all her other clothes. But, I tried to ring up her clothes too. I was so confused. Who does that? Just carry the damn shoes with you into the fitting room.

Then, (e:floppydonkey) came home and told me that Peter Singer was rude (to say it nicely) to him while driving again. We should leave this neighborhood, but we really love it.

On a happier note, I am excited to be going to the Taste tomorrow. Maybe I will see some people there.

weird morning

this morning i dreamed about Shamus who passed away 7 years ago. i was playing with him in the family room and eating pink ice cream out of the half gallon box. i think it was raspberry with chocolate swirl, my dad's favorite. we were enjoying ourselves. my little brother came over with one of the twins from down the street all muddy from a soccer game they had just won. their uniforms were emerald green. they started playing with Shamus and getting him all excited. then he ran over and grabbed the ice cream from me and ran away with it. i just let him. my dad came down the stairs and asked me if i knew where the ice cream was, since it wasn't in the freezer where it was supposed to be. i said to check behind the dog crate. he gave me a funny look and went over there. sure enough Shamus was eating it in the corner. my dad took the ice cream and ate it, even though the dog's mouth had just been there, and then he went back upstairs. i looked at Shamus and with my eyes told him i was sorry he didn't get to finish his treat. everyone in my dream was from about 10 years past, except i was the way i am right now.

on another note, this morning i tried to do some crazy step-aerobic exercise on fittv. those people are nuts. i cannot get my body to step in place and then move my arms in random ways. i need to stick to tai chi or tae bo. at least those exercises have a purpose to their motions. and besides...i heart billy blanks.

train

i dreamed

that i was on a train going through my hometown. there were a bunch of people on the train with me. in my dream i knew and loved them, but i do not know them today. i think my dream was in the past a long time ago. the train crashed. some of it caught on fire, but mostly it just slid off the tracks and fell sideways. everyone on the train died, including me. i do not know why it crashed. once this happened i wasn't on the train any more and i was watching from outside. it was my time again and i was back at home with my parents. i asked my mom if there had ever been a train wreck near our town, because i'd just had a dream about one and i couldn't tell if it had been a memory or a real dream. she didn't know.

dreams within dreams are confusing. now i really have to ask my mom. maybe it was a memory from when i was a kid or something.
