Honeymooning

I'm honeymooning with my newlywed color. Yesterday at the city hall show, my love of purple was affirmed by the Reverend Julie Perini. It was a quite moving experience.

I also married my darling, Soyeon. (i'm her sweetie!) It was kinda Vegas-style & last minute, but we did have some witnesses to make it official. We haven't discussed longterm plans or anything, but I don't think there's any annulment in the future or anything.

I'll post pictures when the Reverend gets them to me.

old men and taxes

a weekend full of nothing

well, i saw a movie. eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. it was okay. i enjoyed watching it, but it wasn't, like, the best movie ever, or anything. if you got a couple extra bucks, go see. but i don't know that if you don't, you'll really be missing that much.

also, was at the pink saturday for an early drink with churchofjulie. old men hitting on us. i'm tired of that. i need to learn that it doesn't matter if i'm rude to drunk old men, cause if i'm just the tiniest bit nice, it shows them that i'd be interested in spending the entire evening warding off their advances.

'course, it would probably be a different story if it was a hip, hot young man...

but today... my only action today was to get a library card. yeah! now i'm really a member of the community. plus i picked up some tax forms. i have to do my own taxes this year for the first time ever. i hope it's not as hard as it's rumored to be...

late again

why oh why is my sleep cycle fucked up this week?

i finally finished getting my website together for my review tomorrow. if you want to see what i have in my portfolio at the moment, go to

www.dreamdilation.com

i sad that i missed a probably very fun night at the pink. i was thinking about going down around 2am, but then i realized i haven't showered in a while and am not really fit for public consumption.

tomorrow my friend judy is coming for the weekend. yeah judy! sadly she leaves early on sunday, so there'll be no chance for sunday brunch at sybelles (i don't think that's how to spell that word). maybe saturday. i'll see what she wants to do.

also now i'm hungry but if i eat, then i'll probably be awake longer. arrrrgghhh. there's no solution.

here's the PJ bouncing flash test. it's not impressive, but i wanted to see what flash does on this here site.

benefits of wakefulness

i finally got to sleep maybe around 5 am

but being awake was good cause i got to have a bit of email conversation with mike, awake in england (early morning for him).

so i think i'm going to make a short flash cartoon for his most recent character, PJ the Robot. with new flash capabilities, i'll post it up here when i'm done.

anything to keep me from working on my mid-year review stuff. friday, stay away!

a secret

this is my secret:
sometimes i like to read harlequin romance novels from the 70's. if you'd like to know more, i have a list of cool things about them. but i won't go into that now.

i can't sleep and i'd like to read one now, but i don't have any to read. it's time to go to the goodwill -- or st. vincents, my new favorite store.

i think st. vincent's had a furniture sale this weekend and i missed it. i should have gone straight there upon my return to buffalo today. i'm in the market for a sofa bed. but i'm picky.

i guess maybe i'll just hang around online for a while. or, i could read some serious literature. god knows there's enough of that lying around the house, most of it starved for attention.

whining section

dear paul,

i like the newness of the strip. the colors are pleasing and bring on the spring. huge super thumbs up on seeing who's online and who's logged in.

however. (hear my mother tone.) my puny old computer only has a static 640X480 screen and it took me AGES to figure out i had to scroll across for the login.

i do admit to my own stupidity. i just wanted to whine. now that i know where it is, there' s no reason to change it.

spying on friends

it's weird, kind of. the more i read on everyone's elmwood blogs, the more disoriented i am in actual physical conversation with the people who write. they'll start telling a story about something, and i'll be like, hey, i know what you're going to say. and them i'm weirded out because i don't know why i know that. but it's the blog, the dangerous land of blogs. we're spies and spied on at the same time

transit boycott

i was just reading paul's post today about rosa parks. he wondered whether a similar thing would work here in buffalo. a couple of weeks ago i heard on the radio that the black community wanted to boycott the transit because of brutality performed by the transit cops. but then i heard a guy who was interviewed say that it was too cold to walk. i think a lot of people must have agreed with him, even though this article says the boycott was successful. but who's going to say their event didn't go so well?

but maybe the boycott didn't work, cause not enough people didn't ride. but i think the weather's just an excuse for laziness.

p.s. there's lots of other articles on the web about it. search google or something

last night i decided

if men get married, they should stay out of bars. go hang out at the married man's club, don't go kissing nice single girls having fun with friends at the pink.
