(e:terry) and I adapted a recipie for spicy potatoes out of the Indian food book. It used potatoes, dried chilli, peppers, onions, garlic and some cumin. Our ratio was a little off - too much potato and not enough spice - but if you scraped some of the chili seeds off the bottom of the pan it added enough heat. He also cooked up some mushrooms to go with it.

Kevin's birthdayCategory: birthdays
After Erica's show, I met up with Emily, Kevin, Catherine, Mike and a few other people at Essex for Kevin's birthday. Unfortunately they don't have a fryer, and we needed fried cheese so we went over to Providence for food. On the way home I walked past Essex again and saw Callie and her brother outside, so I hung out with them and got myself whooped at darts.
Catherine's rant about Essex, fried food and patriotism
I really like recording sounds lately. It's easier to capture than video and I think people don't change their behavior as much because there's no visual. Sometimes video is just superfluous especially when it's someone just talking in a dark bar.

(e:czarkasm) had an hourlong show tonight at Nietzsche's. (e:Terry) and i got there a little late but she absolutely rocked it. For her closing mashup of Sweet Dreams, I heard the two guys next to us talking about how they excited they we're for it.
Now I'm on the way to Kevin's 22nd birthday at Essex.

Father's day part zweiCategory: family
After father's day at (e:paul)'s parents', I rode a mile over to my parent's house. Of course this meant a second dinner, plus desserts. My mom made falafels for me since they were eating burgers and sausages. For dessert, we had my dad's favorite, an orange cake with orange glaze on top. They needed to go to Anderson's after dinner also, since father's day means free ice cream for dads.
I continued the housework trend for the day by cleaning out my parent's gutters. Suprisingly they were clean. The gutter mesh they put over them really worked.

Oh and serve it with raw chopped red onions and cilantro! Throw some chickpeas in there... and maybe some fried paneer too and grate pepper over it.
add a bunch of thai chillies in there and some jalapenos!
How come new posts from you appear randomly in between other older posts?
I scroll and suddenly whoa, I am like, "I didn't see THAT before!"
As a rule of thumb, for all western "Indian" cook books, double the spices and triple the peppers and add a 3rd more salt.
Wait why are you cooking from a cookbook???!
