First of all thanks.....

From what I've read they can be dormant for months and not bite but still be there ..... Hence I can't be in or have anyone in my place really.... I'm working on it but so often after a day at work it is tough to get any thing done .... Hope I get it done soon also...... Honestly thought I would have had it done by now ok at least a month ago.....

In any event I hope everyone has a great time ..... Sure it will be a blast

Just hope everyone has a few or half a tray of Jello Shots for me :) Enjoy everyone....

Nobody will be good as you (e:metalpeter) at capturing party pics! Sorry to hear you are still dealing with that nightmare, hope you can resolve it soon.

Why am I missing this.... Pretty sure I started the giant spoon obsession. :)

1. Happy Birthday
2. My screwed up apartment Status means I can't be in anyone's house so I won't be there sorry.........
3. That Metal spoon makes the wood one look small watch out the back swing could take someone or a group of people or wall out or something :) maybe if it is still there the cage room will be where everyone has a party ;)
4. Hoping someone gets some great pictures and posts them at least the safe of internet ones .................

New Bathroom Granite and Marble Stone
Category: bathroom
We headed out to the Tile Shop but this time we brought Tanya with and she helped us get this show on the road.

At first I thought we were going to have to wait till October because one of the stones were on backorder.

In the end we ended purchasing some awesome white granite and patterned marble floor.

It was more expensive than (e:terry) had originally wanted to spend but we signed up for a card and they threw in an extra discount giving us 25% off the total.

They also had a bottle of Tanya's favorite, discontinued soap in one of the showers. I asked if they could throw that in too and they did.

Right now I am holding an $52 marble soap dish. It seems so crazy that such and insignificant part of my existence can be so expensive.

Cigarettes Suck
Category: burns

The other night at (e:flacidness)' s birthday someone burned me with their cigarette on the porch. I wonder if I will now be marked forever.

More Soldering Copper - Hose Faucet Repair
Category: 24 linwood

I am so much more comfortable with soldering now. Really the time (e:robert) and I worked on the pipes in the basement is when I learned the most.

(e:mike) and (e:yesthatcasey) manged to brutalize our garden hose outlet when we were away on honeymoon. Somehow they broke off almost all the spokes of the turn wheel. It was so messed up I had to cut the pipe and put on a new faucet. I ended up going with an all solid metal one so that it can't happen again.

I learned something new during this project. Despite having shutoff a value inside the house that gives water to this pipe, there was still some residual water that was coming through. I would wipe it and every once in a while it would start to come out again. Obviously this is not ideal for soldering as the flux gets wet and water causes steam which makes the bind not work.

Turns out a little bit of wadded up white break blocks the pipe and also dissolves easily when full pressure is restored. It totally worked to allow me to form the needed seal and the bread parts just came out when I turned the faucet on.
