Hiking at Niagara Gorge
Category: hiking
I can't believe how low the Niagara river is. I have been there 100 times and never seen the parts of the river bed that were unconvered this time. It was a good 15 feet lower which revealed a lot of interesting rock structures. This time instead of going back up the steps we climbed directly up the cliff. When we popped out at the top we were in a cage of sorts. The weather was so beautiful.

Hiking at Hunter's Creek
Category: hiking
On Sunday (e:matthew), (e:tinypliny), (e:yesthatcasey) and I went hiking at Hunter's Creek in East Aurora. We started on Hunters creek rd and randomly hiked around some of the parts I remembered from high school. Having the phone GPS makes getting lost impossible. I wish the weather would last. I kept not wanting to look but I was tracking our trip with My Tracks.

Question the Panoromas where they taken that way or is it how some cameras you can combine shots?
YesThatCasey - 11/08/11 15:56
What Matt said. 'Sides, makes every shot an action shot, and that's pretty cool. ;o)

I never said you look deranged in ALL of your photos, just that one in particular. Besides, people who try to control the way they look in other peoples photo always end up looking stranger than if they just relaxed and presented themselves naturally.
tinypliny - 11/08/11 04:31
I had such a fun time! Thanks so much for inviting me along.

PS: (e:matthew) is right. I always do look a bit deranged. I need to work on my "neutral photograph face". Or maybe its impossible when you are easily amused and find things hysterical in general.

Exclusively Alaskan Good - Take 5
Category: food
Headed back to my favorite fishmonger last night to pick up some more crab legs. The ones she carries are always so delicious.

This time I cracked all the shells before I ate them in order to make the eating part effortless.

I paired then with red pears, red romaine, rice and zucchini.

They started carrying seafood from florida so while we were there I also picked up some cape rock shrimp. They came pre shelled which should make cooking a snap. I am thinking garlic butter, lemon and white wine sauce.

They are so big. The actual crab has to be one scary crustacean.

The crab legs were so delicious!

Went to the farmers market with Casey this morning. Afterwards we sat on the sidewalk in the last remaining warmth of the season. Here's to a mild winter.

Last years Squash
Category: foos
Oops I forgot about this squash from fall 2010. Although it appears smooshy, its actually hard as a rock and hollow.

paul - 11/05/11 13:58
Its so crazy, you can kick it around in the driveway and it sounds like a tin can.
lilho - 11/04/11 19:31
It is now an ancient artifact.
tinypliny - 11/04/11 17:24
Not to mention looking like a wormhole of... mould.
