So far everything works. I didn't have to destroy anything. It has been the easiest upgrade ever. I will post any weirdness I find tomorrow.

Hiking at Niagara GorgeCategory: hiking
I can't believe how low the Niagara river is. I have been there 100 times and never seen the parts of the river bed that were unconvered this time. It was a good 15 feet lower which revealed a lot of interesting rock structures. This time instead of going back up the steps we climbed directly up the cliff. When we popped out at the top we were in a cage of sorts. The weather was so beautiful.

Hiking at Hunter's CreekCategory: hiking
On Sunday (e:matthew), (e:tinypliny), (e:yesthatcasey) and I went hiking at Hunter's Creek in East Aurora. We started on Hunters creek rd and randomly hiked around some of the parts I remembered from high school. Having the phone GPS makes getting lost impossible. I wish the weather would last. I kept not wanting to look but I was tracking our trip with My Tracks.

Question the Panoromas where they taken that way or is it how some cameras you can combine shots?

What Matt said. 'Sides, makes every shot an action shot, and that's pretty cool. ;o)

I never said you look deranged in ALL of your photos, just that one in particular. Besides, people who try to control the way they look in other peoples photo always end up looking stranger than if they just relaxed and presented themselves naturally.

I had such a fun time! Thanks so much for inviting me along.
PS: (e:matthew) is right. I always do look a bit deranged. I need to work on my "neutral photograph face". Or maybe its impossible when you are easily amused and find things hysterical in general.

Exclusively Alaskan Good - Take 5Category: food
Headed back to my favorite fishmonger last night to pick up some more crab legs. The ones she carries are always so delicious.
This time I cracked all the shells before I ate them in order to make the eating part effortless.
I paired then with red pears, red romaine, rice and zucchini.
They started carrying seafood from florida so while we were there I also picked up some cape rock shrimp. They came pre shelled which should make cooking a snap. I am thinking garlic butter, lemon and white wine sauce.

Okay so grub2 was awesome for the main drive and not so awesome trying to get it to add a secondary linux load line on a second encrypted drive. The instructions were all over the place as grub2 has obviously changed a bunch.
I ended up need to put the config in /etc/grub.d/40_custom and then rerunning grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
Part of the problem was just trying to figure out the right device id. "sudo blkid" is your friend in that case.
So what's changed and what are you liking/not-liking??
ya, I went straight for it. I am using an nvidia card with the nouveau drivers and it works perfectly well for me. Not sure. I haven't used the nvidia drivers since F14.
have you switched over completely from the virtual machine?
Folks are having issues with nvidia cards (my stupid card with the switching technology, in particular). Apparently, the noveau drivers aren't out for this version of fedora yet or something of that sort.
Anything absolutely excellent?
I did not switch to grub2 yet. Regular grub works fine with fedora 16. I have so many other things in my grub setup and I didn't feel like dealing with conversion issues last night.
Did your bootloader change to grub2?
