Plows Suck
The annoying fucking church next store hired a plow to plow "their driveway" and lawn. I doubt its legal to drive a truck a half a block down the sidewalk or to plow the lawn.

When he left, he left a two foot high wall of snow across the street. I imagine thats not allowed either. He ended up plowing in the poor girl parked across the road who had to shovel herself out the next morning. They also throw a ton of snow on our driveway when they do this. I spend like two hours shoveling it all back onto their side by hand.

Well even City Plows suck and they are Pros.... What I don't get is why more often with alternate parking why they don't pile so snow onto the side of the street where no one is parked instead of into your drive way?
tinypliny - 02/04/11 22:02
I am so glad I don't have a car. All this snow walling defeats the purpose of having one...

My geographic tongue doesn't have AIDS
Category: orange tongue
The other day part of my tongue decided to attack itself again. The doctor had said it looked like geographic tongue when I went a couple months back.

Of course its just another disease with no known cause or cure and yet another form of my body attacking itself like the crohns. Interestingly, I read this specific condition could be a vitamin deficiency caused by the crohn's. It's weird because I haven't really had any crohn's symptoms since my appendix came out like three years ago.

This week it hurt a bunch so I went to the doctor again today. Before I left, I looked it up online and found a great article about geographic tongue. Then I scrolled to the top and saw it was a freakin AIDS information site!!!

This of course made me totally paranoid. Luckily, it just happened that today was also free instant AIDS testing downtown. Really, there is no reason for me to have AIDS but I figured better know for sure as the last time I was tested was 1999 and there were some sketchy years in the early 2000s.

It came back negative but I am still concerned for my tongue's future although peroxide and tongue scraper seems to be helping.

The whole thing really blows my mind because I could not possibly eat healthier food. I blame it on flossing. I never had trouble before I started flossing every day as the dentist suggested.

This wasn't really orange tongue yet but I changed the category to keep it along with the history of my tongue drama.
leetee - 02/04/11 11:17
oh ehm gee. i had that a few months ago, for such a long time. it was painful. i didn't go to the doctor... i thought it was a reaction to new meds. (e:uncutsaniflush) didn't get it though.

don't you have a primary care doctor? it took me a while, but i found one that isn't an idiot and actually listens to me...
paul - 02/04/11 00:10
The doctor said pityriasis rosacea the minute he saw it. (e:Mike) got it right after me. So much for not being contagious. That being said neither Matt nor terry got it nor were their any blood tests to make it conclusive.

The new doctor gave me a mouthwash of nystatin, tetracycline and steroids to swish with and to follow up in two weeks. She said it could have been a secondary infection that took advantage of the geographic tongue.

I would really like to see an actual doctor with exoerience. No matter where I go I always manage to get new or inexperienced doctors.
tinypliny - 02/03/11 02:43
Btw, whatever happened to those papular skin lesions you had? Did your doctor ever reach a conclusive diagnosis?
tinypliny - 02/03/11 02:40
Sorry to hear you are having to put up with all these annoying conditions that don't have a specific cure. :/ :::link:::

I doubt you have a vit b12 deficiency, though...
heidi - 02/01/11 21:40
I'm glad your tongue doesn't have AIDS.
paul - 02/01/11 19:16
The doctor that said it was geographic tongue said it was not thrush. Here is the wiki article :::link:::
flacidness - 02/01/11 18:51
Oh man!! Isn't that called thrush???? That looks so scary. I'm do glad your tongue doesn't have AIDS. That's really scary. You could go around scaring children with that :) I hope they have you something for it.

Where clam meets beef and egg
Category: food
I am obsessed with veggie, meet, and noodle bowls now. I have been eating them everyday. Small portions of each thing but lots of flavors. This one had some beef slices, four clams, an egg, Swiss Chard, peas, and carrots in a lemongrass broth.

The nice part is that it only tale like 5 minutes to make too and the noodles are cheap when you buy them in a big package.

What kind of noodles?!

Buffalo Botanical Gardens
Category: nature
I love going to the buffalo botanical gardens on a sunny winter day. Its so nice to feel the rays on your face in the Cactus room and the humidity in the rest of it.

I signed up for another membership last time. I gotta get back soon because the ponderosa lemon tree is starting to blume. I think that might be my favorite smell in the world.

Ortiz Tuna at Wegman's
Category: food
For some reason our Wegmans on Amherst St in the city went from having Ortiz brand tuna in two separate areas to not having it at all.

Luckily, my new favorite Wegmans in West Seneca had it in all three varieties. I love the one in the glass jar so much.

The one in the box is actually the tastiest but I am convinced that its extra delicious fattiness makes it higher in mercury content. Not that I am too worried about that after my mercury test turned up nothing crazy.

You owe me your life for showing you "fancy wegmans" lol :P
tinypliny - 01/30/11 23:47
