Sharing Sickness

There is this guy at work who always comes in when he is sick and gets me sick. He sits right behind me and I have to work with a lot. Everytime he got sick this year, I got sick like a day later.

He always ends up staying home after he gets me sick. My question is why can't he just stay home when he is sick in the first place like everyone else. Thats why we have like 6000 sick days. It really sucks to be sick on the weekend in that case. He always says things like stay away I am sick. But when you sit in the cube right next to them, its hard to "stay away."

Now I am sick and got no painting done, argh. I pretty much missed the whole day. Next time he sneezes or coughs or I am just going to take a sick day until he takes one, which is kind of ridiculous but its better than being sick.

Another day of repair and paint

The morning started with a call from my boss at 8am that I was late
for a presentation to the leadership forum. The meeting was two and
half hours before my usual start time and I had taken today off to
work on the house, totally forgetting about it.

So, i rushed out and made in time for my presentation and it went
awesome. Work has just been awesome in general. I even got an award
for innovation. Find out more about that next week.

So back to the house, I am capable of doing so many more things now
thanks to my new wood chisel set. I made some fancy new replacement
parts for the house facade and replaced some more shingles with
(e:matthew)'s help. Some bees has gotten in where the insulation was
blown in. We stuffed them shut and replaced the shingles that were on
top of them. You can't even tell which ones are new.

I was also able to finish half of the driveway-side cornace in brown
and orange. I had my dad come and watch me in case i fell. I think
he enjoyed watching me work, haha. It was also nice to spend some
time with him.

It's crazy how much you an get done in a day.
