Tokyo Shanghai Bistro//Hu'sCategory: food
Went today, around 1:30. There was no buffet. The chinese food tasted ok (I had hot and spicy shrimp, that wasn't too spicy and was too sweet), but it only contained four average size shrimp. FOUR! The hot and sour soup, however, tasted great. (e:Janelle) had a bento box and it looked a lot nicer. I am definitely going to do Japanese if I visit again there is no buffet.
Afterwards, we stopped at Hu's discount store. It is my new favorite store. Everything is affordable there. I wish I had my picture phone (will again in January), I would share pictures of cheap wires, the aforementioned four shrimp, and the tights that had jeans painted on them.
I wanted to buy shoes and sharpies and underwear and cleaning supplies, and luggage but I held back, because I didn't really need any of them and they will still be cheap when I need them.

I like Christmas partiesBut I don't like Christmas. (not until Dec 24, anyway).
I like apple cider, but not apple pie, apples, or apple juice.
I like sleeping in the morning, but not going to bed at night.
I like (e:strip), but I never post.
Sorry about that.
My friend wrote a paper that had a great line.
"The church is like manure. If you spread it out, something beautiful might grow, but if you pile it up, it starts to stink."
I haven't opened a t-shirt factory or written my play, but I am going to get back to the play after Christmas, for real.

SheriffI do not know too much about the challenger in the Sheriff's race, but I do know that the county's holding center is messed up. The state and federal governments are suing the county for access. There are tales of people not having access to basic necessities such as toilet paper and toothpaste. There have been allegations of abuse.
Not that anybody deserves this treatment, but keep in mind that this is the HOLDING CENTER. YOU could find yourself there, even if you have not been convicted. There is no excuse to mistreat a prisoner, but it is even worse when a person has not even had a trial.
I am rarely political online, but this is a human rights issue. Vote today.

PlumberWho is your favorite plumber? What's his (or her) phone number?

We only used a plumber once in Buffalo - Hertel Hardware and Plumbing. :::link::: 716.875.3900. We hired them to install a Noritz tankless water heater. They were on-time and completed the work as promised. We were referred to them by Irr Plumbing Supply. We chose them because they had staff trained by Noritz. We were very satisfied. We are planning to use them again. I'm not sure how competitive their prices are for more mundane plumbing work.

I've never had him do any work for me, but Pat VanDeWater is a friend-of-a-friend, and a really good guy... i would probably call him if I needed something.

Our friend/ regular plumber is good but he also has probation issues which make getting him here tough.
My parents swear by Larry's Plumbing - Licensed - 871-1980. I haven't tried him yet.

Bub Stanley. I don't think his probation officer lets him out of the state, though. ;-)

My favourite plumber quite being a plumber not too long back and is starting a new business in Tenesssee completely unrelated to plumbing! If I have a sink crisis now, I might be totally doomed.

I'm kinda curious about that place. Janice Okun gave it two stars and The Downtowner reviewer gave it 4 stars. Four shrimp in hot and spicy shrimp sounds closer to two stars.
WHY, it is in the HOOD! Why haven't I been there yet. MUST. MAKE. AMENDS!
Tiny, right next to the shanghai bistro on Elmwood, near avenue pizza.
And where exactly is this magical store? I totally want tights with jeans painted on them.
