Two very diverse projects

Only a few feet apart, a ps3 bring repaired and a window being
repaired. Lets hope they don't mix.

Basra the tortoise eats a carrot in 3:30
Category: pets
Just watch basra take 3:30 to eat half of a carrot and try to imagine to tragic fate of the parakeet (e:paul,49948) Can you imagine being eaten this way?

It's like being stabbed to death with a rusty spoon.

Your guilt-tripping doesn't seem to be having any effect on him. Hahaha

One complete but unpainted window
Category: windows

I have to wait 7-14 days for the putty to skim before it can be
painted. This is an insane amount of work. I have a much deeper
understanding of just how complex windows can be.

It was definately done by hand. You can tell from how each price of glass was cut semi differently, I think the difference is that it was probably 100 hands and not two.
tinypliny - 10/11/09 09:19
I wonder how this was all done when the house was built. It had to have been done by hand back then as well.
tinypliny - 10/11/09 09:18
You are dedicated. I would totally give up if I had this much detailed re-modding staring at me.
heidi - 10/10/09 21:47
Looks great! Think assembly line?
jim - 10/10/09 20:43
Looks good
paul - 10/10/09 20:35
So that window alone took about 8-10 hours and there are 17 remaining.

Almost done with window one
Category: linwood
This whole stripping, sanding, priming, cutting glass, reglazing is
time consuming. Especially, considering the window is really made up
of 17 panes.

Also just got done painting the dormer we primed last week. It looks
awesome in dark brown like the house is carved from a solid block of
dark chocolate.

No. I was wearing pants I had just painted in and was sitting on the couch to do this but in like 20 minutes I had to go do a second coat. I decided out of laziness that it was easy to just pull them down while I worked on the window so that I could sit on the couch.

Are you naked?
