Couldn't remember the correct spelling. I used to work for a book publisher. We rented space to a butcher shop, who apparently couldn't order enough. Having seen them up close, there is absolutely nothing appetizing about them at all.

I had no clue what "chitterlings" were so I actually Googled it... they're chittlins! I never knew the actual word the slang was derived from. Actually I've always known the slang word but never actually knew what chittlins were. They are pig intestines, if you didn't know. Why would anyone need 10 lbs. of pig intestine? This is a part of Southern food culture I can't appreciate.
