let's get physical
Category: fitness
just finished working on my fitness for the first time in a month.

i guess my whole plan didn't work, but i am back on like pam and tommy lee; minus all the white trashiness of course.

anyway, it was kinda rough, but you forget that it feels good to make your body do something other than stuff it with delicious fatty treats.

i refuse to look bad in aruba.

so: hiking tomorrow, 0545 am. bringing large quantities of water as the high for today is 115. also bring cell phone and younger cousin, for support and possible emergency rescue situation.

ARUBA! T MINUS 23 DAYS!!!!!!!!! YESAMESH!!!!!!!
james - 08/04/09 22:16
Oh man, I love hot weather, but I couldn't imagine doing anything other than hiding in shadows during 115 degree weather.
metalpeter - 08/04/09 19:52
I most days start work about 6:00am but can't imagine working out that early, um wow doing that intense stuff that early is tough to imagine. Hope it goes well and hope you stay on it.

asian persuasion
i was convinced to apply for this job, and i really hope i am not being bs'd because i have put a lot of effort into this!

to prove my asian cooking skills i made udon noodles from scratch, as well as beef balls which are a vietnamese dish...

i created a teriyaki sauce and stir fried the noodles with oyster mushrooms, sugar snap peas, green onions, and marinated and grilled pork tenderloin.

this process started with creating the dough at 6:45 am.

at the very least, i proved to myself what an amazing little chef-y i am!

That looks delicious, why are the pictures all different sizes.
lilho - 08/03/09 23:33
lol, i guess it sprouts from the fact that (e:terry) hates handling any kind of raw meat, esp chicken, and it doesn't bother me at all(we used to cook together all the time). is long as i can wash my hands a million times...
james - 08/03/09 23:30
That sounds awesome. I always knew your ability to handle meat balls would get you far.
lilho - 08/03/09 23:28
working with someone high profile in nyc... they are asian... i would be doing cooking, some cleaning, basically whatever im needed for. if they offer and the price is right, away i go!
james - 08/03/09 23:16
Those dishes look amazing. I just took a bite out of my computer screen.

What job did you apply for?
enknot - 08/03/09 21:27
i love that new pic. and these dishes look great. lets get married!
metalpeter - 08/03/09 19:32

the most special person
Category: baby girl
i cannot tell you how much i love my little niece, she is a ball of smushy joy and love.

my heart melts every time i see her precious face, and i get really sad just thinking about her because i miss her so much!

the hair bow you see in her hair would actually be one of the hair bows i bought in the baby section at target for myself. i think they are cute for adults as well, but i have given them all to the babes... must get more.

here are some pics from her visit last week..

i think she looks so much like (e:hodown), no? she should just steal her, and i will move to nyc and it can be baby time...

ps. doesn't my momma look good?!?

hungry for it
i am trying to get this job, which would entail moving to nyc for 4 months...

it would be an amazing opportunity, and could possibly lead to bigger things, or just be 1/3 year adventure. i am fine with either.

anyway, im pretty sure most (e:strip)pers can attest to my amazing culinary skills, but i find myself frustrated that i never take photos of anything i do.

anyway, my goal for tomorrow night is heading to the asian market to find ingredients for some asian dishes i can whip up tomorrow night or monday morning to show photo evidence of my skill, lol. maybe i just just make a video and set it to some nice asian tunes????

i am crossing my fingers for the next two weeks, because i want this job!

i like the unknown and i like a challenge...

07/31/2009 01:22 #49422

my latest obsession
so there is this candy company sugar factory, and they make the most amazing product... a lollipop with a reusable bedazzled handle and twist off candy tops!

image

i love lollipops, and these are my lollipop dream come true. i dreamed about them all last night, and i must have some! i am going to give them as gifts too. what could be more amazing than candy as accessory?

they only have one store in vegas and another opening in la soon, so they have to be purchased online, and they are way overpriced at $22, and $70 for a box set of four, but i don't care i must have one.

and on to other topics... why would you call someone to say you are mad at them over something completely lame and irrelevant from over a week ago, and then hang up when the other person says you are being lame? i am done with fussy little drama queens/kings.

i really dislike my job except for today when all of administration was gone and i didn't have to call the sup every time i walked away from the desk. plus i didn't have to complete a million tasks for everyone that likes to give their work to others to finish.

and i want to lollipop.... oh lolli, lolli, lolli...

(e:hodown) wants a couture pop too! i thought she would think i am lame because the whole thing somewhat is, but she likes them. they are a blingee lolli dream come trueeeeee!
mike - 07/31/09 20:33
those are my dream!!!! i want one so bad!
tinypliny - 07/31/09 16:39
I wish I could be more like you and a little less like me. LOL
lilho - 07/31/09 16:36
if i get the job paul i will buy you one, (e:hodown) too! and as for you tiny, thes things are amazing and frivolous and that's why i love them!!!!!
paul - 07/31/09 12:21
If only you were around during the candy raver days.
tinypliny - 07/31/09 12:16
Don't you think that might limit you to candies manufactured by this company alone? That's like selling a printer and holding the consumers captive because no other toner fits that printer except the one made by the parent company. Are you okay with eating only one brand of candy from here on - even if on a diamond stick - your entire life? (Because you would be bankrupted on a drug um candy-habit and not be able to afford anything else!)
lilho - 07/31/09 08:31
didn't you read it right??? the candy part twists off when you are finished with it, and you can replace it with the same or new flavors.
tinypliny - 07/31/09 05:13
Maybe I didn't read this well enough, but what would those straws be recycled into, again? Jewelled sticks for poking enemy-eyes out?
