Back in Do-hell. This trip was hard to come back from. I think it was the freedom to hold Rory's hand in public, share a kiss if we felt like it, have a beer with dinner if we wanted to, and the blissful driving. I know some of you complain about it, but living here would drastically change your view. Also, finding shoes in MY size was nice.
I have a new nephew, Fox. My brother has already begun telling him that he must learn quickly if he's going to best his Auntie Mika in video games. Cute.
I got to meet some of Rory's closest friends and of course his family, except his dad. No one could say my name right twice :) It was a real whirlwind but we'll be back in February for much longer. Then I'll have a go at driving on the other side of the road. Once I do that I think I will have conquered global driving.
Rory asked my dad for his blessing/permission to marry me, while not necessary, was very sweet. Of course he said yes, although he seemed to be shocked and said something about how he never thought I'd get married because of all my traveling and that I'd never 'settle down'. Thanks dad ;)
I have to get back to work, loads to catch up on. Stay safe peeps, miss you already!

Presents for home got wrapped last night, just have to figure out how to pack everything so it's not smashed to smitherines by the time we arrive statside.

happy christmas!Category: holidays
rory and I made loads of sweats for all our friends here. Many hours of messy fun later, I give you....coooooooooooookies. Rainbow chip, Ladycroft's cloud cookies, Mississippi mud cookies, Grandma's orange crispies, peanut butter snowballs, caramel fudge brownie cupcakes, and gingerbread cake. Oh, and home made hot spiced cider too!
It's already 6pm here so all of Santa's presents have been ripped open. I have a collection of odd things from the crew including a penguin in an egg, which I'm really not sure what I'm supposed to do with it. But, from my wonderful love I got many super cool toys!
A GPS so I can stop getting so lost in Doha! Awesome! It's actually waterproof and shock proof so you can take it sailing (has nautical measures), bike riding etc. I'm super stoked. It will come in handy to take to UK in February too when we have to go driving around to visit his dad and friends. Yah...it's going to be a real adventure driving roundabouts the other direction.
Anyhoo....my other big giftie that made me so happy is a Wii Fit!!! I got myself all measured up and it's not good. Got some weight to lose (not that I didn't know this). This will definitely be a little support buddy to keep me on my toes in a fun way. It's just the type of reinforcement I respond to as a gamer - you have to accumulate so much time in your piggy bank in order to unlock new activities etc. Plus you can set goals for weight loss over various periods of time. It has strength exercises, balance/posture, cardio, and yoga!
Here are some pics of Wii Fit
rory about to get measured
ski jump
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (or should I say wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii)
soccer goalie (harder than it looks!)
my dinky doha tree
HAPPY CHRISTMAS (E:PEEPS)!

Hanukkah is celebrated with excellent food, an exchange of gifts, and the lighting of beautiful menorahs, which only means a good financial preparation. If you want to get cash in time to celebrate the last few days of Hanukkah, you’d better apply for a no fax payday loan now. The holiday started Sunday, but it continues through Dec. 29. I’ve known about Hanukkah’s existence for a long time, but never felt like I knew enough about it. So I read up on the origin of the holiday, the menorah, the food and why it falls on a different date every year. I’ll give you a hint: It doesn’t fall on a different date every year, at least not on the Jewish calendar. Anyway, if you want to learn more about the Hanukkah holiday and how no fax payday loans can get to you in time to celebrate it before it's over, read this article on the payday loan money blog.

Those cookies and things look tasty, now I'm hungry. That Wii skijump looks awesome it really does I admit I can't think how you would do that but I bet it is very fun. I have seen ads for a snowboard game not sure if that is part of that game or a separate one. Glad you had a good Christmas and the small tree looks nice.

WOW! LOOK at all those hours of baking effort! They look most delicious!!
A BMI of zero... hmmmmm. Metric dysfunction? :D
If you stacked all the gifts up, I bet it would be taller than the tree! So adorable!! :D

Congratulations on your plans with Rory! I hope you will have a wonderful wedding and life together.
yeah I agree, asking dad is adorable (and a must if you ask me...)
He passes!!
Way to go. :)
hope we can catch up better next time you're here; sorry I pretty much missed you guys this time.
Was great to see you again... and meet Rory.
Glad you have fun in Blighty and made it "home" safe.
Tell Rory he needs to join up... before or after the wedding will be fine. But after, he has to, since he will be an (e:peep) by marriage.
Very old school cool Rory asked your dad for your hand in marrige. He's a keeper all right!
congratulations on planning on getting married. that he asked your dad is so cute!
What your dad said sounds funny (to me), and I can understand why someone might think that. It sounds like he and your parents get along so that is good, I wish you luck with the Marriage thing. So you two will be back in Feb. I assume in mean in a month and not a year and a month, in any case I look forward to seeing you two again. On a side note I really don't like Feb. for my own reasons but I hope it is a great month for you two. On another side note I like the name Fox but I myself knowing that there is a company (fox racing they make gloves and bike stuff and alt sports stuff) with that name not to mention the Media company I don't think I would have the guts to name by kid that, but I still like the name it is a pretty cool name.
Aw, you guys are an amazing couple. You two really give me hope for love (and I'm normally pretty skeptical about love)..
Congratulations! Not many old school blokes out there so Rory is special. :)
So I am not sure where I missed it that you were getting married but I wanted to say how happy I am for both of you. I saw it in that journal about 2009 that it was your goal to marry the man of your life but I wasn't sure if it was a mutually agreed upon thing yet.
awww! so glad to hear you had a great time! i was great to see you and meet rory, he seems like a great guy! you guys are pretty much the cutest, and you deserve every bit of happiness in life.
Congrats on well, lesse, the nephew, the blessing, the safe travel back, the brief moment of natural driving. I'm sure there is more. February, huh? Coming Stateside for my birthday? pretty big gesture :)
