recovery
instead of attempting to count the people at my grandmother's house yesterday, I found it easier to count the cars in the parking lot and up the driveway.

19.

I spent a good deal of 'dinner time' downstairs in the family room, or as it has been renamed - the smoking room. Which is also where my coat was, so I smell, thoroughly, like smoke.

I also managed to put together a comprehensive sales pitch to family members, and, as a result, have 3 - 4 phone sales and an internet sale. make use of your time, i say.

I tried to upload a grainy pix of my grams living room, wherein you can see about 21 people packed into what once was a living room - a fragment of what was there. it didn't work. oh well

black friday.
tinypliny - 11/28/08 15:49
21 people in 19 cars -> That's not efficient car-pooling. ;)
james - 11/28/08 14:07
damn, you are good.

connected to almost everything
i love my blackberry, but I'm lazy...

I'm so connected - my yahoo and gmails come directly to my phone. I have a facebook AND a myspace application right on my main screen.

I don't even like myspace.

BUT

I actually have to go to estrip on the browser. And then login. And in my world of 'check facebook in this 60 second break' it is creating a world of oh so connected for me.

Is there anything I can download so that I can be more (IMMEDIATLY) connected to my estrip? I know there is a program that will send me RSS feeds (whatever the hell that means) but I don't think that is what I need.
Also... is xtml beta the site that I want when I go to estrip? I know I must sound like a total noob to all you computer programmers...
fellyconnelly - 11/25/08 20:46
ok, i've got the xhtml site up, and it seems like it works - but it won't let me comment. Once I click 'comment' it comes up with the basic menu - but with no place to write in a comment. is this right?

so with an RSS feeder, any time somebody posted a journal it would feed that through? or every comment?
paul - 11/25/08 18:22
I doubt it. I partially made one with the SDK and then thought, why am I wasting my time. If this gets rejected I will be so angry at Apple that it will ruin my life.

I should just make a jailbroken app for it.
carolinian - 11/25/08 13:42
I wonder if an (e:strip) iPhone App would get past the App store censors...
james - 11/25/08 12:10
lol! n00b.

actually, I have no idea what all this gooblygoo is either. Glad Paul could help.
paul - 11/25/08 10:17
Ya, th xhtml mobile site is the one you go to. Once you are logged in you shouldn't have to keep logging in.

You can also use an RSS reader like you were saying, that way you can get any journal feeds you subscribe to or the main one.

rewind slow down pause
Just got in from a weekend at the parents house. Boy am I exhausted.
I ate ridiculous amounts of food - drank ridiculous amounts of coffee and soda.... and now i feel like shit... not to mention I gained like 4 lbs in a weekend...

i'm slowly learning the ins and outs of the blackberry... i don't go online too much with it, since i get both my yahoo as well as my gmail emails sent directly to me,(oh look - i can increase my penis size by 3 inches!) and my facebook and myspace updates are directly to me... this is probably why people don't like being too connected, huh?

i have the possibility of joining a paranormal research society, but I'm not sure how i feel about it. i mean the idea of it is quite neat, but i'm unsure as to whether these guys are serious or not. Kinda hard to say so far... anyone have a house/building that is haunted that i can come investigate?

yeah i know.. there is always something ridiculous that i am getting myself into.
ladycroft - 11/26/08 06:00
Well, the most reputable I think is TAPS, The Atlantic Paranormal Society. In fact, they recently did an investigation in B-lo!

Anyhoo, I say the most legit ones are those that try to DISPROVE paranormal activity by finding logical scientific causes for the 'experience'. If they're out to "prove" the activity, they are full of hot air.
fellyconnelly - 11/25/08 08:46
gardenmama - it would be a 'middle of the night' investigation for sure - and we would have to kick you out! But really - what kind of activity have you had?

oh and all ghosts breakdance... what kind of silly question is that james?
metalpeter - 11/24/08 19:17
Hey who knows about that society it might be very good and who knows maybe you will find something that will spawn a series of books or movies, or maybe it will just be people talking and a way to form a club. On a side note I used to get tons of the increase your penis size e-mails but the fact that a girl gets them is kinda funny like how I get ones for breast implants.
libertad - 11/24/08 18:59
I really love your title.
gardenmama - 11/23/08 22:36
haha - that's funny - I don't know - I've certainly never seen them breakdancing
james - 11/23/08 21:46
Do they also breakdance?
gardenmama - 11/23/08 20:38
My daughter and I both believe my house has a ghost/ghosts in it. I think my old tenant believed we had one too. They don't bother us so we don't bother them - it works. You could investigate if you wanted to but I have to warn that I'm a pretty lousy housekeeper. Mostly because when I moved from my old house it was 2400 sq. ft. and we moved into an apartment close to, but less than, 1/2 that size. I still have boxes I haven't unpacked because I don't know where to put the crap. Maybe it's time to purge. Sorry - I digress!

fing - 11/17/08 11:47
I sat in that box once but when it was Choice One Communications. If it is anything like it used to be then there is free drinks also. Pretty much anything you want. Coffee with Kailua...Done. Make sure you save room for dessert after the half if you are a dessert person!
drew - 11/17/08 10:42
You need a buddy to go with, right? One that maybe needs to sign up for internet?
paul - 11/17/08 09:51
Now you can easily estrip on the go.
mrmike - 11/17/08 09:08
Inside a suite would be the only way I'd go. I worked those night games last year, not fun. Bundle up anyway for the hike from the parking lot.
