chai latte
Verizon Home Services....

So... i hate to ah.. advertise or whatever...

But if anyone is interested in any verizon home services - such as high speed internet - or, in some parts of the area, FIOS, then let me know and I can get you running. Actually I can get you running faster than calling up and asking for it yourself.

and yes i do get commission for it.

and for all you sabres fan, Rob Ray will be at my verizon lockport store tomorrow from 2-4 signing autographs. it is our 5 year anniversary. Also cake and stuff.

ok enough work plugs.

I made an amazing chai tea latte and i need to go enjoy it.

lets talk next time you are at work. 510-7086
fellyconnelly - 11/16/08 18:13
let me know for sure, I'll be happy to call in an order for you.
drew - 11/15/08 10:05
janelle and I got mad at the TW rate increase and then quit it. I signed up for verizon online (or at least I think I did) but there hasn't been a phone call, email, or anything, so I wonder if the sign-up worked. If it didn't we will sign up through you.
fellyconnelly - 11/15/08 09:43
Its still priming. Next Thurs I'll begin conditioning it and then it should be matured by December 4th. I'll let you know then... but remind me to tell you all about it when it comes out!
james - 11/15/08 01:43
speaking of chai, how did the chai beer come out?
fellyconnelly - 11/14/08 23:57
Not in the city yet. Word is that the areas that are going to get FIOS first will be the areas that receive aerial lines - They aren't too keen on trying to run all sorts of cable under the city right away. Underground lines can be extremely costly..I think its mostly outlying areas, but if you message me your address I can check.

Kenmore would get it sooner than Buffalo though..

FIOS internet and TV packages are not all that much more expensive, monthly, than time warner cable. With the TV package - there are 40 HD channels with room on the fiber optic cable for hundreds more - all uncompressed. You have to rent a box every month for each tv that you have. (you'll need a converter box come February when everything goes digital anyways)

Installation usually does not cost anything....
The problem is if you have old coaxial wiring in your house - it has to be replaced or there is no point. That can be costly....

Installation, incidentally, costs verizon about $1,500 per house. You don't pay any of that.

OK I'm going to stop now - I went to a training today and i'm full of useful facts.
mrmike - 11/14/08 21:15
Got to be soon. The verizon building on Elmwood is all about the Fios. Wish I could have it at my apt.
zobar - 11/14/08 21:14
Wo Paul.

How much does FiOS cost installation/monthly/hidden fees? Do you have any rollout information for Kenmore? I talked to some dude in a mall last December and he said 'any day now' but it turned out to be a shameful web of lies.

OMG, do they have it in the city yet? I want it the day it is available. I want a business account. I already have that one in Amherst but I want it at my house.

addendum
Last post I asked 'why is it snowing?'

and it was because estrip told me so. I didn't realize it was REALLY snowing!

And the best thing about cookies that taste more like sweet bread is that you don't feel bad about eating them for breakfast.

Also Waking Life? A movie that doesn't require you to be stoned. It is a movie that requires you to be tripping. Or maybe I just felt like I was.

Off to Springville!
jenks - 11/11/08 16:06
haha, yes that movie is super trippy. Cool though. I've watched it a few times, and I always find myself thinking "wait... did I just smoke pot and I don't know it?"
tinypliny - 11/10/08 18:25
So was the movie good or bad? Or more importantly, did it have a happy ending?? I only bother to watch the ones with happy endings (she shamelessly announces...)
james - 11/10/08 10:46
Should we ever have a Tsunami estrip will do something very funky.
paul - 11/10/08 09:37
Ya, it constantly monitors the national weather forcast to see if snow if on the horizon and when it is, it snows on estrip. Same with the "It think its raining, you should bring an umbrella" message.

beer and cookies?
why is it snowing?

today i made cookies AND beer.

And by cookies - i mean sweet bread cakes. since i used wheat flour and applesauce its not very cookie like.

And by beer I mean I brewed a red ale and added butterscotch schnapps. Its called a 'Wee Heavy'. how exciting.

Also ate at Sahara Grill. Food was ok (we tried new things that I couldn't even begin to remember much less pronounce!) but it was cold as hell and they sat us right in front of the big screen tv so we watched the simpsons while we ate.

Now we are going to watch waking life. I hear you need to be stoned to watch this movie.
james - 11/10/08 10:45
I did not care for Waking Life at all. But I will save my criticism for priase for Wee Heavy. That sounds delicious.
theli - 11/10/08 09:57
While I'm sure it would add to the experience in some way, getting stoned will not be necessary.

That is assuming that you have any stomach at all for philosophical discourse. And maybe some patience for some of the more outlandish musings on reality...

Anyway, enjoy!
paul - 11/10/08 09:38
I like Sahara grill too but seriously it is always so empty and cold. They must do a lot of takeout.
libertad - 11/09/08 22:29
I hate being freezing when I am trying to eat a meal out.
paul - 11/09/08 21:42
Oh man, butterscotch schnaps beer sounds really good.
drew - 11/09/08 21:39
I like Sahara, but it's always empty when I go.

long gratuitous post.
i'm sitting on my balcony posting. Its nice to be outside and warm in November. Even if I get wierded out by the neighbors so close by on their balcony.
Today we drove out to Lockport to drop off (e:lauren)'s car at the shop for an inspection. We decided to spend the day off playing. We stopped by my work (on my day off even i can't stay away) and lauren picked out the phone she wants when our sprint contract come up in the middle of the month.

My boss took us out to lunch at Quiznos - which was more than wonderful. Then we drove out to the cemetery in lock port and walked around in search of my uncle ralph. after finding him, we took photos of ralphie on uncle ralphs gravestone. We wandered around quite a bit - and ralphie was ecstatic since we let him be off the leash quite a bit.

Then we drove around, hit a coffee place and then went to Reids - which really is probably the greatest thing in Lockport.

Ralphie got a new sweater today, and I can't wait to take pictures of him in it.

Last night we bottled the Chai beer - not sure if its going to taste too much like chai by the time i'm done. I don't know if that is a good or a bad thing.

Today we received another brew club order, and i'll be making a 'scottish wee heavy' which is an amber ale with malts, brown sugars and butterscotch schnapps. I'm sure it will be amazing. That should be ready right around time for me to take with me to the new years party in Lake George this year.

Tonight we are going to an art opening at Buffalo State.
Opening is from 7 to 10. You should check it out, It looks like it's going to be inspiring.
fellyconnelly - 11/09/08 21:28
The art opening was pretty sweet. It will be up in the Buff State college all week. You have to stand in front of each picture for a good 30 seconds and really be with the person. Its fascinating!

The chai beer... oh man i hope it works!

And maybe it was not a long post, but it sure was a rambling one!
libertad - 11/08/08 15:51
Funny, I just sent you an email about phones. Which one did Lauren pick out? Chai beer...that is crazy!
paul - 11/08/08 11:57
How was it? I curious about it but it was (e:flacidness)'s last night and we wanted to go out.
tinypliny - 11/07/08 17:57
HEY! That was not long!!! 332 words??! Gratuitous, my alphabet!

hobby
Been crazy busy since the party. I spent saturday sleeping and sanding down a bookshelf that lauren decided to purchase friday night RIGHT before the party.

Sunday and yesterday evenings I spent painting it. Tonight I was going to find a place for it in my already overcrowded apt, but alas... I have no idea where that would be.

so instead i'm watching obama kick the mac's ass.

A few weeks ago, I came across (e:janelle) at wegmans, around the soda and chips aisle, and, during the course of a brief chat, she helped me realize that i'm ridiculous in terms of needing to have projects to do. As in several. I'm very restless. Maybe I feel as though I need to prove my worth.

So now that halloween is over (and the mask making with it) and I just finished killing off brain cells by inhaling enamel paint with the bookshelf..... i need a new hobby. a new obsession to obsess over.

the documentary thing? screwed over by a faulty codec. fail.

i guess i'll just make more beer.
fellyconnelly - 11/09/08 21:29
i don't know where I was the whole time!
jenks - 11/04/08 22:48
how is it that I still managed to NOT meet either of you at yet another estrip party? Hmph.
