You might say I am nosey. I like to know what is going on around me at all times. I hear sirens and I want to know where they are going. I think this has to do with growing up with firemen and thus scanners in the house broadcasting what was going on throughout the county.
As I do not have a scanner, I am interested in local news. Buffalonews.com has a little bit of a breaking news section, but it is rather lame.
In Northern NY they have this website
It is a pretty extensive site that gives you weather and info. There is a lot of community participation on the site that really keeps the info up todate. Okay grant it - there is a hell of a lot of advertising on the site, but it really is quite a valubal little site if you are nosy like me.
Anybody know of a site like this for the buffalo area? or if not... anybody interested in creating a site like this?
i think i hear a siren... hurry up!!

so what they really need to do is make a lexington coop cook book to raise money for... the coop... and then we could buy it and not have to shop there. right?

They also have this fajita filling made with tofu that I freeaking love. IT is rice beans and little tofu cubes and spices and tomatoes and oh so good. It really is amazing and I wish I could figure out how they do it.

Went to Allen Street Hardware last night for joey's art opening. I have never been here before but it really is a neat little hole in the wall. also the glass that my hoegarden came in was awesome.
why yes you are right, it DOES seem to be german for 'unibrow!'. or something like that.
The breakdance battle was... AWESOME. as per usual. the dancers were exceptional this time and it makes me want to take monday night classes which involve actual breaking than toprocking on wednesday.
anyway.... i need to finish this jigsaw puzzle.

(e:james) - that is exactly what he did to us...
(e:lauren) says: Do you have blue moon?
bartender: no but blue moon is an imitation wheat beer, may i recommend the real thing that you will like better?
us: sure!
thus hogarden. which i knew of before i actually started enjoying beer.
but (e:vincent) - i would imaging PBR would be much cheaper than the fancy smancy beers that they have there...

I feel guilty every time I go in there due to the fact that I just drink PBR. With all of their selection like the pic above, it just doesn't seem right.

The last time I was at hardware I asked for a dark, dark, dark beer and the bartender says he has something I will like better... I have the label from that beer bottle in my wallet. It was so freakin delicious. That bar has such a good beer list only it has a home for German unibrow beer.

mongolian shoe barbequeCategory: randomo
I had full intentions of going to the Buffalo Psychic Fair last evening at the hearthstone manor. I wanted a reading.
Then my sore throat developed into the "s" word. Cough, Tight lungs, general weakness of body. I would have gone and they would have said "you have been feeling under the weather lately" and then charge me $50.
So I stayed home and (e:lauren) and I started putting together a jigsaw puzzle. Its kind of like one of those cheesy blacklight posters with dolphins and whatnot. We didn't finish, but at least I have something to look forward to for Sunday.
Tonight after work we are going to the Hardware Cafe around 6ish to see the art of Joey Buczek. He is a coworker of mine. We like to commiserate about the end of the world and ancient prophecies.
Then off to the breakdancing battle! Battle at Buffalo!
If anybody is interested in showing up it is $5 bucks and the door money goes right to the winner of the battle. It is on Main street right next to/above the Hyatt's art store. Very good times and great dancing!
Also - I designed a puma shoe that I want. But I can't show it to you because the computer that I am on sucks. But you can go to www.puma.com and check out the mongolian shoe barbeque and design your own kicks!
