I have two scathing reviews that I need to write veerrrry soon.

1. The mean lady at Village Laundry who looked at me long enough to take note that I was heading her way with a $20 bill.

"We don't give change here" which is fine except maybe you could take the snatchass additude out of it. Its not my fault your life sucks. I wasn't asking for anything ridiculous, just for two ten dollar bills so I didn't take up all of your damn quarters in the machine. So take your shitty additude and shove it up your bum.

(well i guess i actually took care of that review didn't i?)

2. Cleve-Hill Auto. This one deserves its own post. Later.

Also I am sick again. As in i felt better for all of about a week and now i'm back to gross again. What the hell? I'm sure hanging out in a cigar bar last night didn't help. I didn't realize how much cigarette smoke sucked. I'm glad I quit smoking.

Incidentally.... last night I received a text message from my friend erin. She was at happy hour somewhere down in Queens.

"What is the difference between Jam and Jelly?"

I actually got up to go find out the difference when I received the next text...

"I can't jelly my cock into you"

dont' go there!!! get a second opinion!!!
libertad - 02/06/08 14:03
Cleve-Hill is the reason that I decided that my car is not worth fixing. I wonder if I have made a mistake in making that assumption?
chico - 02/03/08 15:38
thanks for the heads-up re Cleve Hill... fwiw, i had a good experience at bison automotive :::link::: .
james - 02/02/08 14:44
you can marmalade a cock into something however.
mrmike - 02/02/08 08:45
Cleve Hill bad times always -- there are better car places for service

You might say I am nosey. I like to know what is going on around me at all times. I hear sirens and I want to know where they are going. I think this has to do with growing up with firemen and thus scanners in the house broadcasting what was going on throughout the county.

As I do not have a scanner, I am interested in local news. Buffalonews.com has a little bit of a breaking news section, but it is rather lame.

In Northern NY they have this website

It is a pretty extensive site that gives you weather and info. There is a lot of community participation on the site that really keeps the info up todate. Okay grant it - there is a hell of a lot of advertising on the site, but it really is quite a valubal little site if you are nosy like me.

Anybody know of a site like this for the buffalo area? or if not... anybody interested in creating a site like this?

i think i hear a siren... hurry up!!

fellyconnelly - 02/01/08 23:18
woah i totally swear i left a link up there!!
:::link:::
its a very (obviously) low maintenance site full of advertisements... but many people up there swear by it...
jim - 02/01/08 11:11
Can you give a link to the site?

on days like today the snowflakes that fall in estrip-land should probably just fly from left to right.

brrrrr!

I just got this delicious cold pasta salad from the coop. its cold noodles with maybe... parmesan cheese? and cranberries. And it was kinda garlicy. And i need to know how to make it because i absolutely cannot afford to be going there all the time just to buy this stuff. And i WILL!

so ahh... anybody know what this stuff is called and how to make it?
fellyconnelly - 01/28/08 09:26
so what they really need to do is make a lexington coop cook book to raise money for... the coop... and then we could buy it and not have to shop there. right?
james - 01/27/08 22:25
hippie braid is the secret ingredient.
libertad - 01/27/08 18:14
They also have this fajita filling made with tofu that I freeaking love. IT is rice beans and little tofu cubes and spices and tomatoes and oh so good. It really is amazing and I wish I could figure out how they do it.

Went to Allen Street Hardware last night for joey's art opening. I have never been here before but it really is a neat little hole in the wall. also the glass that my hoegarden came in was awesome.

why yes you are right, it DOES seem to be german for 'unibrow!'. or something like that.

The breakdance battle was... AWESOME. as per usual. the dancers were exceptional this time and it makes me want to take monday night classes which involve actual breaking than toprocking on wednesday.

anyway.... i need to finish this jigsaw puzzle.
fellyconnelly - 01/28/08 09:29
(e:james) - that is exactly what he did to us...

(e:lauren) says: Do you have blue moon?
bartender: no but blue moon is an imitation wheat beer, may i recommend the real thing that you will like better?

us: sure!

thus hogarden. which i knew of before i actually started enjoying beer.

but (e:vincent) - i would imaging PBR would be much cheaper than the fancy smancy beers that they have there...
vincent - 01/27/08 23:27
I feel guilty every time I go in there due to the fact that I just drink PBR. With all of their selection like the pic above, it just doesn't seem right.
james - 01/27/08 22:47
The last time I was at hardware I asked for a dark, dark, dark beer and the bartender says he has something I will like better... I have the label from that beer bottle in my wallet. It was so freakin delicious. That bar has such a good beer list only it has a home for German unibrow beer.
