Speedracer the Movie
Category: culture
Good or Wack?
scott - 12/17/07 15:07
Wack. Some classics don't need to be rehashed.
carolinian - 12/17/07 13:00
When I saw Golden Compass last week I saw the Speed Racer previews. The acting looked too good and the actors' lines were far too articulate to qualify as a faithful live-action representation of the Speed Racer franchise.
jason - 12/17/07 11:25
When I was a kid I was fascinated by Speed Racer. The trailer looked pretty cool. They stylistically do make it sort of cartoonish, and I like that. I can't wait to see more. Hopefully they do a good job with it.
jim - 12/17/07 00:02
Personally I'm hoping for good. Campy, colorful, fast, flashy - could be a fun movie.
jim - 12/16/07 22:43
mrmike, I do not know if you jest. I'll withhold judgement of your sanity until you clarify.

3 Fast 3 Furiouser?
james - 12/16/07 21:30
Is this another in the Fast and the Furious series? *snooze*
mrmike - 12/16/07 20:52
Wack. However, Alvin and the CHipmunks was true cinema verite

Freaking Out
Category: life
I'm forcing myself to take today off. I was so busy all week, I've got 100 unread messages in my inbox and a million things to do, but I'm refusing to do anything today. Trying to relax. I used to party and slack off and stay out all night, and that was about it - the entire story of my early 20's.

Now I freak out about everything and can't stop to take a day off from work and am always panicked about not getting enough done. Lame. And counterproductive, I just get burned out and can't work all day every day anyways, so what's the point of going to extremes? So I'm sitting here trying to breath and read a book. And posting on (e:strip). Wish me luck :)

On another note thanks for stopping by the pot luck everyone! I didn't do much except pick a date, and you all come through with delicious food and some great conversation. You all are the reason for its success. Cheers!

rest hard.
imk2 - 12/15/07 22:17
yeah, i know the feeling. i slept at work last night again. i was so tired and just couldn't drive home. i woke up at like 3 am and was so confused as to where i was and what was going on. i had to hurry up and get out of there before 9am so that i wouldn't get charged for 2 days of parking at the ramp instead of one. i wont make that mistake twice.
jim - 12/15/07 21:59
Not sure how deserved it is, but needed anyways! Sorry you couldn't make it to the Potluck, Del, we should have saved you cake ^_^ but it was too delicious.
mrdeadlier - 12/15/07 21:55
Good for you, Jim! Ain't nothing like a well-deserved rest.
james - 12/15/07 21:27
and I will cash out at 39! MWA HA HA HA
paul - 12/15/07 21:09
I let myself fall into a similar pattern after my party 20s years. At this rate we will be dead at 40.

jameslindley.com

Wahoo!

I just bought jameslindley.com - someone let it expire! I've had jimlindley.com for a long time but jameslindley.com was tantalizingly out of reach.

Actually it expired a few weeks ago and someone snapped it up before I could, and then asked me to pay them $250 for it. But I declined. And they must have cancelled their order, because tonight it was mysteriously available again. For just $10. Yippee!

james - 12/11/07 19:52
I always felt a .com was beneath you Paul. We should get you estrip.gov
paul - 12/11/07 18:55
I wish the estrip.com domain squatter would let go of it, ;( Still nothing. :::link:::
tinypliny - 12/11/07 18:51
Oops, sorry didn't see that you posted the cost already. :) Wow. $10!
tinypliny - 12/11/07 18:50
How about jimmyjames.com or jimjames.com?

PS: How much are domain-names selling for nowadays?
