Brain Hurts
Category: work
Was up late last night dealing with:

And then today I had a long conversation at work with (e:Paul). I am so used to working alone for so long that I think the part of my brain that knows how to program is not hooked up to the part of my brain that knows how to use my mouth to speak.

It took so much energy out of me to try to speak about programming. I feel like I am dead. Different parts of the brain are like tinker-toys and connected in certain ways and doing new things is so taxing, even if the individual parts of the new things are old things.

It is nice to work somewhere that I have colleagues instead of just co-workers, I was really missing out on that intellectual sharing part of work before.

yes, but do you communicate with each other in binary code?
paul - 08/07/07 20:45
Glad to have you here, discussing programming is what makes working fun!

Wednesday Buffet details
Category: estrip
Some more details:

7pm India Gate - Corner of Elmwood and Forest

Please bring cash. I think the buffet is $10 per person plus also there's tip, but if you want to drink then bring more. I don't think they'll split the cheque across multiple cards.

Parking lot is off Forest - there's a lot with meters, otherwise the side streets are good for a spot.

Everyone is welcome!

Ami and I will be there! Thanks for getting the ball rolling on this great dinner idea.
imk2 - 08/07/07 19:01

jenks - 08/07/07 09:38
I *think* the lunch buffet is 9.99....
james - 08/06/07 21:42
I believe the buffet is $12 +drink and tip.

Just so no one is surprised.
drew - 08/06/07 21:07
I'm taking kids to Darien lake, but if I can get them to leave (and/or if the party goes LATE) than I will see you.

Janelle, my wife who is an estrip lurker that does not post may stop by. Maybe you can convince her to start posting.

jim - 08/06/07 20:40
The zombies just got him. He has to start over from the beginning...
fellyconnelly - 08/06/07 20:34
this picture is great. him sitting and playing while all of the packaging is strewn haphazardly about shows how great the gift is!
jim - 08/06/07 20:24
I have to make up for the iphone!
paul - 08/06/07 20:21
Wow, it is so nice that you guys buy gifts for each other. My bitches never buy me anything. In fact terry hates presents and occasions of any sort even when they are for him. He is such a humbug and matthew just doesn't seem to remember. Last year for my birthday I got nothing from by boyfriends. Thank god for my thoughtful friends and family members.
jim - 08/06/07 20:19
He is playing some game where he kills zombies right now, he is so happy :)
mrdeadlier - 08/06/07 20:10
I think my wife needs to start hanging with (e:enknot). Gotta figure out how to work that out...

Chop Chop
Category: food
There's a new lunch place opening downtown in a couple months, called Chop Chop. It's going to be at 300 Main Street. Best of all - one of my favorite people ever, Laurie Sweet, is going to be the chef!
jim - 08/06/07 19:28
I am not sure, I only heard a little bit about it from the owner accidentally, and I knew my friend Laurie as getting some sort of chef job, but I wasn't too sure of the details.
chico - 08/06/07 15:38
Any hints as to the type of cuisine? I might be inclined to hop on the Metro and shoot down there for lunch from time to time.
