WTF...Me and my hair

Ok, so I've been on match.com for a while now more for curiousity than actual dateing cause I'm too poor and stuborn(read "old fashioned") to pay for a dateing service. and I've noticed a very disturnbing trend. So in most online personal ads (Match.com, eharmony yahoopersonals etc) there is a space for turnoffs and turn ons and the vast majority of people that are listed as compatable mates for me in the turnoffs is one word...yeah "long hair." Virtually no elidgible ladies like long hair on their guys.

Ok fine normaly this may not apear to be an issue for guys, I, however, have a beautiful head of dark brown shoulder-length hair. which i take great pleasure in kepping very neat tiddy and clean. I love my hair and plan on keeping it for quite some time. Now, I'm single...and trying to find a female companion...and long hair. Are we getting the problem with this picture? Enter the real kicker.

So in the profiles ladies say they don't like long hair. Switch to everyday life. Just about every female I know, hang out with, have been introduced too (I'm an actor and artist so this tends to be a lot of females of varying age and assets) tells me that they LOVE my hair and would cause me physical bodily harm should I every change it drasticly. furthermore they tell me how they whish that their current significant others had hair like mine and so on and so forth. This is the general response that I tend to keep in mind when talking to females attempting to convince that it would be in their best interest too... spend more time with me(heh)...

Now I've recently been advised by my styleist (you heard me), that if I'm trying to find a love intrest my chances would incress greatly if I were to cut my hair, not a lot, but to a much more middle of the road length. now for clarification I'm not the kind of guy to just up and change his lifestyle to match his perspective mates ideals, nor would I expect or ask them to, nor would I try to change who I am in order to attract females. i'm just not that kind of guy. This multipule mixed signals thing is begining to drive me bonkers.

In closeing I'd like to ask the opinions of all you people out in cyber-space to help a brother out and enlighten a poor longhaired boi out...

Also over the next few days I'll be helping the first half of rommies move into the new elmwood place(1034) so feel free to pop by and say Hi!

Ecotopia and me,,,

So I'm currently reading Ecotopia Emergin by Ernest Callenbach and it's rekindleing my desire for low impact ecological/economical comunal liveing. I'm currently trying to work out a method to maxamize the efficiencey and social appeal of a communal household that utalizes the most ecoligically and economicaily sound technology/methodes available(ie communal transportation, solar power to differ cost of electric, reinsulation of house useing material recycleing methodes, etc). the big trick for me here is trying to MAXAMIZE these things with as little sacrafice as possible, because as we all know we don't want to give up those luxuries we currently have, in order to save the planet (though there are some exceptions to this rule). Another trick is to make this system work not only in one instance but in many, hopefully starting a trend that will enhance American life (I know that this may rather grandios but that just my optamism showing off).

Now I'm quite able to work out most of the systems myself but there are many facets of this venture that I know deplorably little about(home recycleing methodes, the efficiencey/cost of solar cells, how different people would feel about liveing in said conditions, etc). Thus I need some help. Your help. over the next few weeks/months I'm going to be working out and then posting my summations on varous aspects of a model communal house (useing my own to be house as an example/basis for comparison). What I need from all of you is to come up with any arguments/Ideas/information(or direction to information) that you might have. If all goes well and a paper layout of a working Comunal House can be created I'm going to write for a grante for funds to create one and try it out in the flesh.

if all follows even vaguely what my minds eye sees the benifits to a communal house will be:
High social concousness
-occupants will learn to solve household problems efficiently
-occupants will enjoy life as a closenit community
lower cost of liveing
-more time for pleasure activeities
-more finances available for pleasure spending
lower negative imapct ecologically
-cleaner enviroment benifits all
-satasfaction from ecological well being...

ok so yeah I'm pretty damn tired about now so i'm off to sleep. Please IM me or E-mail me if your interested in helping out or just interested in this idea period...

Enter the Cat

Well hello all(again and at last!)
After some interesting E-errors, that, might I add, were handled in a very timely and efficient manner by Paul(props to him), I'm now able to make my introduction!

There might be some of you possibly wondering "who is this guy." Then again you might possibly not be wonder, but you should. Well if you are wonder no more! If you weren't wondering in the first place...well then go about yar biz.

My name is Azure Thorne, and I'll soon be a proud resident of an Elmwood Ave address! Along with a small slew of comrades, I'll be takeing up residence a few places down from "We never close". Which is, interestingly enough(at leaste for me), the same apartment that my father lived in during the late 60's...

I'm a great lover and patron of art in it's many many forms. I enjoy life as an Actor writer digital artist whose worn many hates so far and plans to continue to do so for a long time to come. I'm very interested in/fascinated by people in social settings and adore community life (to the extent that I occasionally think of myself as a communist). Generally this leads me to be quite the social butterfly, though I still enjoy a bit quite solitude from time to time I'm infanetly more adept in largerish gatherings. So by all means if you see a group of young men, myself being the oldest at 23, moveing vast amounts of furnature and electrical equipment on or around July 1st feel free to stop and make aquantinces (for reference I'm the 6' Irish looking lad with the long brown hair tied up in a bandana)...

Just in kinda passing thought I'm currently doing some major full time, or even multiple part time work to aid in the funding of my life. I, being the proud (and by proud I mean poor) artistic stereotype, am currently selling a good portion of my belongings to afford the move and life for a month while I endeavour to find more practical and permanent means of life support, and would be incredibly grateful to any and all who could point me in the direction of work (hate to be picky but no fast food...don't eat it,wont serve it). I might even be so grateful as to bake up a batch of my special brick-like cookies, which my friends affectionately refer to as "Dear god, not those vanilla flavored paper weights again!"...then again perhaps just a hardy handshake and a favor or two owed...

So once again hi'ya all glad to meet you (when I do)
