after work

After a long day of work today. I started to paint the bumper on my truck. Just like every other Dodge Truck, my bumper suffered from rust! I sanded it down by hand this weekend, and I put the first coat of primer on today. I figure if I put 1 coat on a day, it will be ready to paint by this weekend.

Buffalo Bisons and Blogging

For all you Bisons 'fans out there that didn't know; yesterdays opening day game was rained out. Which means today will be a double header. My father has season tickets, if my mother is busy, maybe I can go to the game with him! I hope it is nice today!!

On a different note, I have been looking for a book or online site dedicated to setting up your own web blog. Does anyone have any suggestions for which book is the most helpful. I checked amazon, and there were oootles of books, but I wanted to get the opinion of someone closer to my demographic. I just want to be able to upload notes to my site easily without opening up the code and adding new code.

book prices

Paul, I don't think that it is such a bad thing to return books if you can get them cheaper elsewhere. [inlink]paul,3128[/inlink]

I returned 8 or 9 books to the Canisius bookstore for full price because I found them cheaper elsewhere. The bookstore manager didn't like me very much! Books are a rip off sometimes, especially when your english teacher lists 5 books on her syllibis and only uses one! grr

programming question???

Does anyone know how to get rid of the blue boxes around image buttons in firefox?

I startede the structure for my personal web site with html, but when i create links with images, firefox adds a blue border to the buttons. Is this just a firefox preference that can be turned off? Or do I need to read up on other programing languages?

adelphia woes cont

Thanks for the suggestion [inlink]paul,2967[/inlink], Paul!

I am pretty sure the computer is not losing the connection to the router, because when the internet is down, I can access any of the computers over the network, just not the internet. I can even get a successful ping from the router.

I think i am going to have to "bite the bullet"and have them come out. There is one problem though, people come and go at my house so unexpectantly that it would be hard to set up a time when someone will definately be home! Thanks for the info Paul!
That is a funny story too! I checked, my wires are all connected! haha

ps. how do i link my journal to other's journals?

adelphia woes

Has anyone had similar problems with adelphia powerlink?
Lately, My powerlink cable modem loses it's connection to the internet. Mt network is functioning great, but I'll lose my internet after about 10 minutes of use. I called adelphia, and she pinged my modem, everything checked out. It figures, that the exact time she is on the phone with me, the internet miraculously works. She said she could have a technician sent, but she wasn't sure if it would cost me anything.
Corporation blow monkey BALLS! I shouldn't have to pay extra for internet that I am payin $40 a month for!! If anyone has similar problems, let me know!
