Fun eventful day

I started the day at work, which was no fun.
BUT, I went out into the weather and rode my snomobile for two hours.
After which I sketched some ...

lousy weekend

I did absolutely nothing this weekend. It was nice and relaxing, BUT there always seems to be a monkey wrench! I decided to go to the Apple store at noon yesterday, and my hood blew up. Yes, the safety latch and the lock both failed and my 2001 Dodge Ram Truck hood flew up, bent and would not close. I had it towed to the shop today, and it is going to cost $1700!!! For a hood a latch and two hinges. I wish I lived in the city with decent public transport!
I agree, people should respect free things, free is a whole lot better than $1,700.! Car manufacturers make too much money!

printing

I work for a digital printing company. What quantity are you looking to print, and of what? (ie. size) Is it for a good cause?

Paul's landlord

I fell for you guys living in that horrible stench. That is horrible. I would sleep in 8 layers with all the windows open!
There is one upside though...
At least your land lord isn't a crack addict that breaks into his tennants apartments (with his key) and steals their money to buy more drugs!
A friend that lives off Hertle Ave. has that problem.
Both these people should be relinquished of their property!

ok. back to work!

new degree AIP

Hi friends.

Just thought I'd say hello to all. Paul,
it is crazy cool that your site will be out west now too!

I have applied to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh; with some success I hope.
I plan on attending in Oct. to pursue a BA in Game Design.
20 classes from Canisius will transfer, wooppeee. It's a 180 credit hour program, but I will be a 3D studio max machine when I am done in 2 years. Pittsburgh seems to be a pretty cool city, especially because their sales tax is lower than 9.25%!!!
We should have passed that red budget for a year or two to catch back up with things.
Well, I'm not going to get into politics, it gets me fired up.! :(

Paul, does your 3D class have a site this semester; I long for my 3D modeling days back. The world of prepress/print is the most stifling creative environment ever. Sonn I will be free in Pittsburgh.

javascript woes!

I am having trouble writing a javascript that will print an Adobe Illustrator file and dynamically print each layer to a different postscript file.

I have been successful at creating a script that will print each layer, but it prompt's me to name the script and choose a folder.

Does anyone have any idea what the code would look like that would name the postscript file by the name aready given to its AI layer.??

I know javascript pretty well for use on the web, but creating scripts that run in illustrator are more difficult because I don't know the objects.

The only documentation I can find is that which is on the Adobe site, which is a marginal help at best.

Thanks to anyone that may be able to help.
