Zack and Miir make a porno

So on Friday Kevin Smith's newest movie comes out "Zack & Miri make a porno". It looks like it could be pretty good. I'm hoping that I have time to go see it On Saturday, or who knows if I will even be in good enough shape to make it to a movie. I will admit I am a Kevin Smith fan so I must go see it.

the first time the video didn't show up from youtube but I kinda forgot how to do that.

Death Note II

First of all thanks (e:Imk2) it was a great idea and it was better then going by myself. Yes I do like doing things by myself but something like that the more people the better. It is on at Regal Cinemas tonight also I think. The event in itself is pretty interesting to have people yelling and chanting and stuff. It would be cool to go in costume but I don't have any gear. I did see someone with a death note, and have seen them online for sale someplace. Does anyone know if there are any Anime Stores that sell them and other stuff and only that kind of stuff in Buffalo like in some other cities. Movie wise not sure if I liked it or the 1st one better. I think the first one a lot of it was seeing how the characters came out on screen and how they looked and the voices and little details of how L sits and holds the phone. Now those things we are kinda used to so there isn't there awe it just like the show factor but I thought it was very good and I had a great time.

Religulous (spoiler)

So I went to see the Bil Maher Movie and I did like it. I will be giving some stuff away that is why it says spoiler up there. I liked it, I really did and thought some of his interviews where pretty interesting. Yes it was funny also in some parts. I think what I liked about it also was how it was shot you could tell it was a Documentary when you saw the camera guy filming in a few scenes. Then there was the part where he was at the Park in Orlando I found that very interesting and they shut him down for a bit. I think my favorite part was when he was at the Vatican and he hangs out the window and gets shut down, then that is followed but the best interview of the movie I thought, that guy was awesome, maybe if everyone was more like that guy there wouldn't be a reason for the movie. I like that the movie had Bill's family in it and it was a little bit biographical. That being said what I didn't like was when Bill was with the one Jew who liked the guy from Iran. What I didn't like is that Bill Kept interupting him to ask a question, sometimes you have to let someone finish what they are saying before you ask them something else. That guy sounded like he was going to have a very interesting point. I know it had something to do with the fact that the holy land doesn't belong to the Jews but we won't know since Bill Acted like a baby and walked out. I also didn't like the over the top ending. Yes it is important to know that some one who thinks the world will end, might not be the best person to lead the country, and that thinking that way could be a self fullfilling prophacy. But that doesn't mean that just because some thinks that they can't lead. I admit I'm looking forward to a DVD of this movie for a few reasons. I would like someone to come out with it so that all the interviews we can see all of them with out the editing to make the point he is trying to make what ever it is. I really liked the guy playing Jesus and would like to see all of that. I would also like to see people that they recorded but who maybe didn't sign the release so we could see them blured out (I assume that there where people like this). Plus I bet there is a bunch of other interesting stuff that got cut because of length and since it didn't fit his Agenda. I did like all the gay stuff that gay guy was pretty interesting. I don't think he was really gay, I think he was Bi-sexual and there is a difference or maybe bi-curious not sure. Or who knows maybe the lord really saved him. I know some people here have debated what Bill's point was. I think it is that people where violent before they learned how to reason, so because of that faith is a way to back up those thoughts and it just makes them more violent. I think that also means that people need to set there faith a side and lose the violence before they get it back so that when they do things they are not violent. He also seems to think that if people think the world is going to end then thinking that way will cause them, to make it happen. I did enjoy it and think everyone should go see it, even if you hate it and disagree with most of it, there is some other points of view to see and that alone is interesting.

So now onto the movie at last. I have never read any of the Manga but I watch or record DeathNote on Adult Swim after Bleach on Cartoon Network. It isn't my favorite show that they have had on but it is still pretty good. The Shirgami was so cool looking and the voice was spot on that was really cool. I thought they got L perfect. That would include all the little movements like the feet and how he holds the phone. I'm not sure if it was all the same Voice Talent from the cartoon but if not it sure sounded just like them. You might not think it but those little touches make a movie so much better. I didn't really know how they where going to tell the story or how far they would go into it. I thought the story was told pretty well. I guess the ended the movie at a pretty good point in the story. I don't really do the stars or thumbs up but it has 2 thumbs up and enough stars to be good. Oh yeah the special features where pretty good also. The only thing that I thought could have made the movie better is that there was stuff in Japanese that they could have translated on screen but I think not doing that is kinda a common thing, but other then that it was pretty cool. There where people who dressed up and screamed when there favorites where introduced. That I wasn't used to but you gotta like the passion that people have. Part 2 looks like it will be very good, not sure if they will have another screening for that anytime soon or if it is better to see if it is on DVD anywhere. I think it would be cool to see it in the large screen. They did have an ad for a Bleach Movie they will be showing in June, but that is animated not live action. Bleach is a pretty good Show also, I should go see that also.

Street Kings Iron Man

Today I got to see two pretty good action movies. The first one was street kings. Hey how can you not go see a movie with dirty cops in it. It was not like training day to me at all really. I thought it was very good and it was nice to see that there was a plot. At the same time as it had a plot it was still nice and violent. I thought Forrest Whitacer, Hugh Lourie, Jay Mohr (ok and funny man but great actor, or maybe I just like him) and Kenu Reves (stright acting no accent of where he is from) all did a great job. Also Common formaly known as Common Sense played a good small part also. For those who may not know there was some music group that had the rights to the name so sense got dropped. But see that worked out good because in credits and tittles Common sound and looks better and is clearer then Common Sense so do to him also acting I think he for his movies would have droped sense anyways. I tried this Pizza with the movie that was pretty good and made the movie that much better.

Before both movies they had an add for a special event coming of DeathNote. I will admit that I like the show but didn't know there was a movie I'm going to have to see if I can get to that. The second movie of the day way Iron Man. With out giving anything away it was really good. I can't say if it was true to the Comic Book or not since I never read it. That being said there was a lot of great action with kick ass music in the background. I pretty much posted the same thing on 2 other social networking sites but there where two things that I didn't say there and the big one is because I forgot to mention one of them. The thing with "Comic Book Movies" is that to be good they have to have that great story telling along with the action and that balance can be tough sometimes. I thought they did a great job here and thought it was really good, plus the place was pretty packed. When I use the term monkey here it isn't a slur based on race or at least it isn't supposed to be. But when the credits rolled you should have seen the mass exodus of the monkeys from the film. It was nice to see some people who understand that it takes people to make the movies or maybe they just wanted to see what the music or maybe they wanted to see the end of the movie. For those who read comic books, watch comic TV shows or are Haseloff fans you may know what happens after the credits but it wasn't Haseloff who will appear it is a much better actor. If you paid attention during the movie there was some foreshadowing to this but I didn't catch it. Oh yeah and the 2nd thing (e:tinypliny) it was nice to run into you on the way home, I hope all that produce winds up tasting very good.

Old NIght American day off

So I could have worked today and got some nice overtime, but since the boss said I didn't have to I enjoyed the day off. One reason I wanted it off was so that I could watch a movie or something. This morning I watched "American Gladiators" it was the Grand Finale and that was pretty cool to watch. The male and Female winner get lots of cash and truck and get to Be American Gladiators. Oh yeah and the Ali lady is pretty hot, does she still box? Secondly I got to watch Knight Rider. My take on it is that it was good, but... Kitt was kinda a little bit to much of "I don't have Feelings" I also thought the voice choice could have been better. All in all I liked it. I think they wrote it so that if they wanted to the could come out with a new series. I have no idea if there will be any plans to, but I think at sometime they will just based on all the ads. Besides they keep canceling everything that follows Heroes. The reason I taped these show is I watched the WWE PPV it was fun and there where a few things that surprised me. Like the return of the Big Show and then that lead to some Boxing Champion hoping over with tons of security and fighting him. Yes they have had other boxers and wrestlers compete and even had them wrestle each other. But I don't think they have ever been champion at the same time (maybe I mis heard), they sure did make it look real assuming that it wasn't staged, something real does happen once in a blue moon.

Today I got to see a movie that I have wanted to see for months "No Country for Old Men". I really liked it a lot. Yes it was violent but it also had a story I like and had some very interesting dialouge. The only thing is that at the end of the movie things weren't all tied up neat like they do a lot. There was also a little bit of not knowing what happened. That being said I think that can be a good thing also. I think that even though the ending was not what I expected and made me think is it really going to end after the credits role. I think it is important for people to make movies the way they see fit and not all formula and I did like how it ended I just wish one question was answered and if the guy is still on the run, but I have a guess as to what happened based on something that was said but not sure. I do see why people including myself liked it and I would say if you like that violent type of movie to go see it.

Cloverfield

I admit that I liked Cloverfield a lot. It was what I expected mostly. The best way to sum it up with out giving away anything is to picture Godzilla or Some Alien Invasion movie. But the entire movie is filmed from some one with a camcorder (yes there is a foot shot). To call it Blair Witch like is also a good way to say it, but it isn't as grainy and there is action and it is full color. I also liked the music on the end credits. Before the movie I saw a few previews for a few movies that look really good "Iron Man" and "Hell boy 2" look really good. The one I need to look into is there is a new Star trek movie in the works. The intrigue is that Nimoy is the one that is doing the talking. I don't know if he is just doing that to get the Buzz going, if he will guest star as spock, or if they are going back to the original crew or what is going to happen, that I'll have to look up.

Walk Hard the Dewy Cox Story

Saying what Walk Hard was about with out really giving anything away I don't think would work with out showing the preview. It was kinda a spoff of those movies made about real rock stars like Johny Cash. I think most of the stuff was based on that. I thought it was funny. I never really like to say that because everyone has a different sense of what is funny, I thought it was. There where some interesting "Stars" in it that I won't get into and some people who I could tell they where actors I had seen but couldn't think of there names. There where a couple people from SNL who did play there parts well. On a side note yes there was nudity for both the boys and the girls. It was mostly for the guys and I thought maybe the stuff for the girls was thrown in as a joke but who knows. All in all a good comedy movie. I also liked the real end of the movie, and not where you think the movie ends.

Oh yeah Hope everyone has a great New Year and that tonight you have fun and get a little crazy but not so crazy you regret it and hopefully we all shall see each other tonight and that will lead into a great 2008.

2nd post of the day

First of all I want to thanks everyone for their Birthday wishes (Christmas ones also). Anyone who is reading this I hope you have a great Christmas. If you do some other Holiday then I hope that is good also.

Since today is Christmas Eve I thought I should go out and see some dark and violent movie. Well you got me I went to see Sweeny Todd and it just so happened to be that way. I think that sometimes around the holidays it is good to see a movie kinda like that. Yes Christmas movies and specials are good, but you also need a break from the season. Beside most dark movies show somehow that being bad isn't a good thing. Or maybe they don't and that is just how we precieve it ourselves. I will admit that I didn't really know the story so I can't say how true it is to that. I did enjoy the story aspect of it. One surprise I will give away is that I didn't know that it was a Musical. I knew that it has been a play before, but didn't know the sing through most of it. I enjoyed that it was a musical, but not sure if that is everyone's cup of tea. Yes it is very dark, violent, no really not that violent just the violence is very bloody and there is a difference. Bloody movies aren't my thing but this one was very good. There was even a love story or is that two love story angles in it. But it wasn't that romantic comedy type so that is good. I won't give away the story other then to say that I like that it doesn't have a "Hollywood" or "Fairy Tale" ending. I will admit that I went in not knowing what to expect and liked what I saw i just wish it was a little bit more but not sure where or what of, so I'm Happy with the movie. I will stop here so I don't give anything else away. Have a great holiday everyone and go out and see a movie.

I Am Alvin

I won't know really what these pictures are untill the journal is posted. The reason is this new camera my mine. The Olympus was much more user friendly and the software was better also. You can't tell what the pictures are when they are saved to a disk and I can't find the pictures on my computer it puts them into the kodak software so I had to count out the pictures maybe these are the ones I was looking for. I went with the Family to the Cheesecake Factory and thought it was very good. I had some kind of Fettucini and this Godiva Desert that was very good. The reason is that I will be 35 on Sunday. I don't think I'm going out tonight even though I should. I think I'll watch the sabres game. I know I should go out after but I see myself staying in with my lame self.

The movie we saw was the new Chipmunks. I thought it was funny and really enjoyed it more then i thought I would. Some of that might be because I'm a Jason Lee fan. Yes I did think they where a touch to much high pitched but it was still a fun movie to see.

Yesterday I saw I Am Legend. I admit I did like it. I don't know if there was a surprise ending or something after the credits that changes everything cause i couldn't stay through the credits. I like that it was sort of a zombie movie with out Zobies and had a good time watching it. That being said I would have liked it if there was more to it. What i mean by that is that if "God didn't do this we did" if that got more into the story and if there was a little more philosphy oh yeah and violence also. All in all a good movie.

I know that doesn't really show all of the place, but it does look pretty cool inside i think. Oh I hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend and a great Holiday and can at least maybe get some time off away from work. Hey unless you like work more then your family in that case I hope you have lots of work to do and stay away from your family. And yes there really are people like this and they do request to work the holiday for that reason, that doesn't mean that there are any (e:peeps) like that but if that is you and that is your thing go for it.
