Home Ice disadvantage ?

So I just finished watching the Sabres game and they lost to Boston so the series is all tied up. Why I think the sabres lost is because they got Jinxed. All Year long when they where leading at the end of the 2nd period they had won that game. Now also all year long it was a point not to say the number so they don't get Jinxed and what does NBC do but mention the number and they Lose so it is who ever said it's fault.

I love that the sabres are going with the 3rd Jersy. That is their best one I think. Maybe since I'm not a fan of "The Slug" alone. What I mean is that by itself it doesn't look good. But when it is over something or as writting under it like Sabres it looks nice.

What I don't know is does every NHL team have a 3rd Jersy? If not then what teams do and don't have them?

In The NFL the Home Team picks what to wear and then the other team gets the opposite color (I mean light color vs. Dark Color). In the NFL there can be a big advantage Heat wise, well or at least that is what the TV people say? But how does it work in the NHL? Is it the Home Team that picks what they wear or is it the Team with the Home Ice Advantage?

This Leads me into the Penguins. Yes the Sabres are my #1 team and my Favorite team but I also like the Penguins but never really have the time to watch them. Ssshhh Don't tell anyone I like Crosby and he is the face of the team but Malkin is Better, again lets not let anyone know that ok, HA, but I think it is true.

Here is what I don't get though. You are at home and you have the thing where everyone wears those white shirts. Ok they look great on TV and give a great effect. But there is only one problem. You wear the Black Jersy so that means Ottawa is in White. Yes you still have the advantage of your fans. But Now everyone matchs the other team. I know if I'm Ottawa I know I'm away but they are wearing our colors so they are routing for us. I think it takes away a Part of the Advantage. So Why Not give away (Think they are free not sure) Black T-shirts? Or Go With the White Jersys or Even go with those Pretty Winter Classic Blues? Can someone who Knows more about this Help me out on this.

On a side Note I would love to see the Penguins face the Sabres in the Eastern Conferance Finals but I don't know if that is even Possible hey they both have to win what are going to be tough series.

Lets Go Buffalo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sabres Vs. Coyotes

Well I was hoping to Go to Club Diablo for their Fetish event but Just didn't have the energy I needed. So not only did I miss that I couldn't finish watching the sabres, then I missed Street Kings, I didn't know there was a UFC PPV, I missed a new SNL with the rock, then I missed Bleach so all my plans went out the window but at least from my previous post I liked Watchmen. On Friday Night I went to the Sabres game and tried to eat at Pearl St. around 5-5:30 and it would have been a Half hour wait so I checked out the marina.

I decided not to put up pictures of The AUD because to me they look the same as the ones from last week. I mean I know they did more work but to me the progress looks about the same.

Sabres wise I thought it was a great game and it looked like Lalime made a bunch of great saves to me. Here are some random pictures from the sabres game vs. Coyotes.

Hope people who read this enjoyed the pictures. I just wish I had juicy stuff for you all and myself. On top of that I wish that some juicy stuff happened to me. I really need to think about seeing if I can move downtown. I know there is no way I could, I think it is to costly. Well unless of course you want to live in the part that is called Downtown but isn't.

Joe Elliot why?????

So the Sabres home Opener is tonight and that is only one of many things going on this weekend that I don't think I'll be doing. So I go onto Yahoo and see that Joe Elliot Put the Stanley Cup upside down, the funny thing is it stood fine, maybe if this will be something that works out lucky and becomes a new tradition but I doubt it.
I will admit I'm a fan of Def Leppard so I'm a little bit upset. But my question is why have him there if he doesn't know what way the cup goes because that means he isn't a hockey fan or at least not enough of one to have seen The Cup before. Or maybe it was just a case of not knowing how heavy it really was and just wanting to put it down. If you don't care about the pictures and links here is the story but you won't be able to watch the video either from the box.

No one gave Def Leppard the Stanley Cup instruction manual?

By Greg Wyshynski

The Detroit Red Wings may be feeling a twinge of embarrassment after their 3-2 home-opening loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night, in which the Stanley Cup champions passed the puck like a remedial-level pee-wee team.

That is, until Def Leppard's Joe Elliott redefined the concept of embarrassment during one of their NHL Face-Off Rocks segments at the Fox Theater in Detroit. This is what you get for booking a band from England: Drive on the wrong side of the road, place the holiest of holy hockey grails on a pedestal upside down.

Epic, epic fail. Even Draper's kid had the good sense to poop in the thing right-side up.

This was the proverbial slow-motion car crash; like on "The Price is Right," when a contestant is about to put the $199 price tag on the tube of toothpaste and the crowd simultaneously shrieks "NO! NO!"

You saw him turn the Stanley Cup the wrong way, and you just wanted to reach through the television and flip it back before he put it down. If only someone on stage had helped him. Why couldn't the drummer have lent a ... bit of moral support?

Aw, shucks, we all make mistakes. We can't stay disappointed in a band that gave the world the arena rock magnificence of "Hysteria." Heck, the scene above wasn't even the most disturbing thing we saw on Versus tonight. This was:

NO! NO! This was the first time we had seen Brian Engblom this season, and the rumors were true: He cut and/or tamed the mullet! Say it ain't so, Swedish Muppet! This is like when your stoner friend gets a job at the bank and starts wearing short-sleeved dress shirts. Engblom chopping the mop is a harbinger of the death of hockey hair; thank god Nordy decided to keep business in the front and a party in the back.

Sabres Blackhawks

Do to the huge size and that I had to shrink them down and I need to go watch more football I only put up 5 pictures from last nights sabres game. I had a great seat I was in the first row of the 300s right on center ice. If you visit my webshots page you can see almost all of the ones from the game and warm ups. In case you didn't see the news it was a pretty big deal that Kane (plays for the blackhawks) is from Buffalo. Before the game they had this face off with his family on ice that was pretty cool. Kane scored the first goal and I think get the first penality also but not sure about that. In the end the sabres won and got an empty net goal also. I had a great time and it was a fun game to watch. Monday night I'm going to WWE RAW and hoping that my camera problems are over. I just hope that these pictures come out as prints ok but we shall see. I also need to figure out at how many mega pixels I should take pictures at so they will upload here and on webshots. Hope everyone has and continues to have a great weekend.

Sabres Various

I'm going to the Sabres game on Thursday with work a few people from work. It is going to be the first time I think for a hockey game that I've been in the 200's they should be great seats. I havn't been keeping up with the sabres like I should have been lately. I don't come here for a few days and a bunch of things are new. The News has a differant look and there is a web cam or something link that I didn't see. There is New thing called Gather I have no Idea what that does. There are a few new people here. It seems like that Hotel Debate is still going on, I hope that is over I think everyone has said everything they can say about it. The other night I watched this great Show Called Tattoo: Under the skin. They showed jail Tats and gave some of the meanings and showed people in Thailand geting tattoo with spritual power it was verry interesting. It werid how you miss a couple days of posts and chat and you sord of feal like you are missing others lives. I can't read all the posts but I've read some. Hope the Sabres win that would make the day even better but as long as it is a good game it will be fun.

Clinton Sabres

I may windup going to see the Sabres on Wendsday. They are having some band there. Not sure where they will perform. Also it has been in the News the Bill Clinton will be in town for something tommarow. From what I read He will also be at the Sabres Game with Golisano. From what I understand Tom is a big supporter of some of Clintons charity work. If I go to the game I will take my camara and take some pictures and hopefully if they come out nice I will post some of them. That assumes I wind up going it is a radio only game no TV but the news will show all the higlights.

sabres bruins

I thought about going to tonights game between the Sabres and Bruins (what is a bruin anyways) but knew I wouldn't go. I will watch the end of the game after wrestling and I will flip back and forth between the the two. I belive it is an 8pm start. Not sure when there next game after tonight is. There are a gew movies I want to see on saturday but i will most likely only see one of them. Waiting is the one I want to see it looks like it could be very funny. Then there is also lord of war and History of violance. Someone at work said the sabres play on saturday out of town but not sure about that if they do I will hopefully see that game also.
