So I turned the big 3-0 this past Saturday. I was totally ok with turning thirty until Friday morning in the shower all of a sudden I started to freak out about it a little bit. It was an amazing weekend though with good friends, good fun and inappropriate pictures haha! It started Friday night when we went to Skybar and there was some DJ. It actually was really fun even though it kinda rained a little it was still a really great time! I hadn't been there in a while. We found some people to invite to the party as well. It was too bad (e:libertad) couldn't make it because he had to work the next day. Tanya made this amazing crown thing just like whoa while we were walking. It was really awesome. Here are some pics fromt he first night of bday celebrating
like every good celebration...I passed out
So Saturday I decorated my partyw ith a clearance theme. it was whataver decoratioins were on clearnance in any theme at party city mixed with dollar store items and my home collection of tablet confetti and streamers. Here are a few pics.
Then Saturday was my party. It was really great to see everyone. Unfortunately (e:metalpeter) couldn't make it so there is not much documentation of the night. I took 0 pictures. Actually knowing how some things ended up maybe it is better there isn't photos of everything. All in all it was an awesome night form what I remember, Some crazy freak show was getting a little crazy on the front lawn but there is one of those at every party haha. Once again I passed out in the backyard but someone was nice enough to put me in a sleeping bag. And i woke back up and got back into the party. I think Jello shots were my downfall? I think I did a bazillion, like one with every single person separately!
I got some amazing gifts like a wireless bluetooth JAM speaker box, captain, a handmade memory book card, an elephant puzzle, fancy glass, shot glass and to top off all the amazingness my brother made me this unicorn bicycle. It serioulsy is the most crazy thing I have ever seen I don't' even know how he did it but it really is the most amazing thing. I can't believe he thought of and created. It really rocks my world that he did this for me! I don't think pictures even do it justice. Granted I am a little terrifed to ride it because it is heavy and a little scary but I gotta do it cuz people are gonna be all jealous of my unicorn! it is definitely one of a kind. If I ever doubt I have the best brother in the world all I gotta do is look at this picture and realize that I do!

Wedding Speech -I need your opinionSo I think I ended up writing a pretty great speech for jill's wedding, the right amount of fun and feelings and I think it was entertaining. Then last night (e:jill) tells me one thing she definitely does not want me to mention in the speech, and of course it is my opening and the best part! She seems like she will be really mad if I use it because she thinks it is too risque for conservative members of her family and her inlaws and makes her look bad but really it doesn't. If anything it makes her look better I think. I think if I just read it noone would react or think anything about it and would just think it is funny and she would realize she was wrong but I don't know. I don't want to make her upset at her wedding. But really without that piece it really ruins the whole speech, like i have to rewrite the whole thing because it kinda all works off of that. It's hard because we have lots of funny stories but so many are like inside jokes that noone would understand or they don't come across as funny to anyone but us. Other stories like just make us look like jerks or just are really boring wihtout too much backstory which you don't have time to give lots of backstory to something in a speech plus that makes it boring. So do I just go ahead and say waht i was gonna even though she expressly said she didn't want me to

My advice is this. ALWAYS do exactly what the bride asks for. The thing that she does not want you mention might make your speech funnier and more interesting, but it's her day and her spotlight, not yours. She gets what she wants, 'cause if the bride ain't happy, ain't no one gonna be happy.

I am not sure what this is - so no comments. :-) Good luck with whatever you decide!

I think it's funny BUT it's her wedding and the bride is the boss on that day. You gotta nix it.

SpeechesI have to give a speech at Jill's wedding and I have no idea what to say. Those of you at (e:paul) an (e:terry) wedding know how terrible I did there so I really feel like I have been trying to prepare by reading up on wedding speeches and watching examples but really it has to be each person's own thing. like i have some ideas but I just cannot get it to come together in a speech. Here's hoping i can pull someting at least somewhat entertaing and meaningufl together by Saturday.

You did a great job at (e:Paul) & (e:Terry)'s wedding. Yeah, you were nervous but it was sweet and showed how much you love them.
My favorite best man's speech was very personal. He talked how important his best friend was to him, and some of the special moments they had had and then how the new wife had added to those important moments since they had gotten together.

Happy Birthday .... Sounds like it was a great time.... Hope it was a good freak show on the lawn and that stuff I all ways wind up missing somehow ... Sorry about that I wasn't there (Getting my problem under control I should have had fixed by now argh thought it would have been done by now but seems I all ways get a set back some how that is my fault though) Glad it was a great time ......
Just be careful with that precious gem... Children and adults everywhere are gonna wanna steal it. I'm sad I missed it...
