MacaronsCategory: food
This article has what sounds like a good recipe for them.
Recipe: Nancy Macarons
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/4 cup almond flour or meal
2 egg whites (from large eggs)
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl, make a paste using 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons water.
3. Add almond meal and unwhisked egg whites and mix. Add remaining 1/2 cup sugar and mix until thoroughly combined.
4. Transfer batter to a pastry bag fitted with a smooth tip; pipe out circles about the size of quarters, spacing each disk at least an inch apart. Rap the pans on the counter a few times to even out batter and eliminate air bubbles.
5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until edges are golden but centers are still light and slightly soft. Let cookies cool on baking sheets for a few minutes to set.
Yield: Approximately 40 2-inch cookies

Slavery In BuffaloCategory: slavery
Is this a major issue here in WNY? So much so that the busses and bus stops are all plastered with a short number you can dial to report it?
FACT: innocent people are deceived and then bought and sold like property.
Call 211 to report.

Maybe it has something to do with Buffalo being positioned on an international border?

I think it is... Pick up an art voice from any month of any year or even a night life magazine open the back and it is common in the "Asian Spas" I don't know if it is true but heard many of the workers in the Fast food Versions of the Chinese places have people working in Kitchens or what ever who are working for freedom... think it is bigger issue in NYC but they get brought here I think and some pimps guess that is how it works for legal people ... But not sure.....

Last Day in Tropical ParadiseCategory: key west
I am not ready to go back yet. I wish I had a job where I could infinitely work from a remote location, although I am starting to desire cooler weather.

The CommodoreCategory: key west
I had the best meal of the trip and one of the best in my life. We ate at The Commodore in Key West The decor, waiter and food were all amazing.
We had lump maryland blue crab meet on artichoke hearts, paramesean baked asparagus, beef carpachio with capers, a spinich salad and then for the main course 4 of the largest shrimp I ever saw with beef tips in marsala sauce and zuchinni and baked potatoes.
(e:terry) drank beer and I drank a glass of malbec. The total bill came to $95 and this was full on fine dining with crumb sweep service.
