I decided to shave off my facial hair tonight after my run. I think the people at work may never have seen me without facial hair. We will see if it sticks, I usually get too lazy to keep up with shaving but maybe this time. So now I'm running three nights a week and I have no facial hair, maybe this is a turning thirty identity crisis?

Went for a RunAfter a somewhat succesful undie run the other day 5k in 34 minutes which was good for me since I never ever run I decided maybe I actually could enjoy running so after a 13 hour work day today I decided to go on my first non-event run alone , It took me 25 minutes to run 2.28 miles and included a fully body collapse on Richmond but I think it's a good start, lets see if I can keep it up...Next up I think I definitely need to learn how to stretch and pace myself...I blame Rachelle for the pain I feel right now and starting me on this horrible exercise trend...here is the real crazy part if you know me...I CAME HOME AFTER MY RUN AND ATE CARROT STICKS AND DRANK WATER not like chips, dip and pop, I didn't even dip my carrot sticks in anything....let's see if this becomes a trend or a one night wonder

Is that no longer a controversial belief? When I previously looked into that question, about 6 or so years ago, it seemed to be a mixed opinion. While many believed that some damage was caused to the knee by running, the short and long-term benefits seemed to suggest that the health of a persons knees benefited from the activity. Other factors, such as morphology (particularly the arch), technique, and especially the weight you mentioned were also considered to be important factors.

I really hope its a one night wonder - for the sake of your knees. Running == slow death knell for your knee joints.
I wonder why people keep running after decades of medical evidence that it really messes up your knees. Runners may age gracefully when it comes to the rest of their bodies, but very very few runner can escape the wrath of abused knees. If a runner is a trifle overweight, the chances of knee damage are completely stacked against them.
And yes, this is a personal opinion but backed with medical experience.
