Silliness - random pix
Category: pets
I'm in Mount Joy, Pa., tonight with my friend Hannah. We're going to Bethany Beach, Del., tomorrow. I took a shot of her while she was decrying the evils of grass (the stuff in your yard, not weed)
, "I hate grass!" while we were enjoying some pints at an historic brewery down the street next to a floor mill, Bube's Brewery, but I seem to have accidentally deleted it and can't find the phone's equivalent of windoze's recycle bin. So puppy cuteness, strange church sign, gardens, nice downtown planter and flamingos wil have to suffice. A friend put purple hair gel in Nisha's top knot.

I like the church sign but that I thought I wonder is that a hint that when the plate comes along to only put in full dollars and don't put in a dollar and take a quarter ?

Recently I've been into Magic Hat's #9 Not Quite Pale Ale. And yesterday at Weggies, the h.i.p.a. called my name, I'm a fan of really hoppy (especially imperial hoppy) beers but more for special ocassions or moodinessess. And I reckon yesterday was special and moody.

I just had some (on Heidi's advice) yesterday. Very yummy. I was confused because it's an IPA on tour, meaning it changes over the seasons. I do not like the black IPA which was the last tour stop.

Synchronicity at work? I picked up some Magic Hat H.I.P.A. yesterday.

Ya you guys look so similar. Its so cute.
tinypliny - 08/20/11 01:18
All of you have the same attractively symmetric face. Very lucky! :)
heidi - 08/20/11 00:42
My grandmother's high school senior portrait hangs in my room at Uncle Dudley's... Comparing that with my mom's senior pic and my ninth grade pic is a little disconcerting. I'll try to remember to take a snap of it to post on monday when I return.
tinypliny - 08/16/11 19:03
Your mum is so pretty! She is like the blue-eyed happy actresses from the 60s. :)

Is It just Me Or do You look The Same?

Nice Pictures........
heidi - 08/16/11 01:54
Thanks! :-) Uncle Dudley has been giving me terrible grief about not making it home for the library's annual garden party July 17... ya know, 10 days before the bar exam. She has a fabulous dress & hat that she wanted to wear and now she knows what my outfit was supposed to be. In 2004, we started the trend of wearing hats to the garden party.

PS Thanks to Nicholas for the tailoring - it fits beautifully.
terry - 08/15/11 16:30
love your outfit!
tinypliny - 08/14/11 12:55
You look awesome... very pre-war garden party. :)
matthew - 08/14/11 12:39
That's a great outfit. You look like you're ready for a garden party.

Firedancing
Category: holiday
Some Nickel City coop friends are involved with Pyromancy, a local fire dancing troupe. A couple very quick videos of Clinton and Crystal:

This is what "Copy video URL" gives me:

This is what "Copy embed HTML" gives me:

(e:keitht)'s brother Eric posted some great vids on fb but I can't figure out out to link to them, or what his (e:strip) name is. :-p

hmmm... my phone uploads vids automatically to youtube and lets me know in g+ but i don't know how to get there from here. Can anyone help?

heidi - 08/09/11 22:15
We went again Sunday night and Clinton caught his pants on fire while dancing blindfolded.

metalpeter - 08/07/11 12:18
@(e:tinypliny) I have never done fire dancing in any form I think there is a form of this that they don't use fire they use lights instead not sure.... First time I saw it was I think at the very first Music is Art festival ..... I can't answer my self but I have heard that same question asked with out the practice part and the answer is yes they do get burned... Now I don't know how bad or how much it hurts or if you get burned once and hit the same spot if you feel it or not.... But getting burned is part of the risk and if you do it you must assume you will get burned was the way I understood the answer...

But don't take my word for it find someplace where they will be firedancing or look up this group sure they have a non facebook web page and view it in person and after the event ask away... Somehow I'm guessing they will answer and I'm sure (guessing) if you drop something into the magic bag and ask you will get an answer for sure.....They can't tell you everything though I'm guessing ..... If you knew how Copperfield turned a rose into fire and then dove or what ever then you could try and do his act....
metalpeter - 08/07/11 12:11
Nice Videos (2 putting the two if you have more or find more then this kinda says where you are at when I posted this comment).... not sure why you couldn't find the videos but glad you figured out how to get them up here.... I have a big long post about it....Ok maybe a medium post didn't as I never prof read it so hope it makes sense.....
heidi - 08/07/11 12:07
(e:tinypliny), i think the fuel they use burns at a fairly low temperature so they don't get burnt. I didn't capture any of the fire eating or tracing along their bodies.
heidi - 08/07/11 11:59
Okay, vids now displaying.
heidi - 08/07/11 11:47
It seems I should be saying "stupid g+" also since I can't just copy the video URL from there to here. I've got them uploading to youtube now which is clearly redundant.
heidi - 08/07/11 11:44
I think Eric's videos are in the facebook format. Stupid facebook.
heidi - 08/07/11 11:33
Thank you for the detailed instructions, (e:metalpeter). I logged into my youtube acct but they're not listed. I've poked around g+ some more looking for a way to share them but not coming up with it. I can right-click and choose "Copy video URL" but it gives me the unuseful one featured above. :-p
tinypliny - 08/07/11 11:33
Do you think they get burned often when they are training? Looks scary.
tinypliny - 08/07/11 11:31
hehe, yeah the upload-youtube-estrip connection is too complicated on the mobile platform. On a workstation it is easier.
metalpeter - 08/07/11 09:59
In Terms of Eric I think I don't have him as a facebook friend... He was on this site before Keith was and wrote what seemed like pretty often but not sure if that is correct... @Paul would know for sure but I thought it was etower but that might be wrong might be something more complex I'm sure Paul would know for sure hope that helps....
metalpeter - 08/07/11 09:56
2. Once on Youtube when you find the video if memory serves you have to press play (not sure on that)... once it is playing there is a url address in what ever they call the box you use to type in addresses of where you are going on line....
2A. It would help if you had two tabs open at once maybe 3 if you are using say facebook or some other page to follow video to youtbue.......
3. Copy that address
4. go to (e:strip) and in your blog hit Paste
5. That address should show up on your blog....
6. High lite that address and then in the post/blog go up to the top of your post and hit the little youtube button and code should show up on both sides of it.....

7. Once you post the video should show up...
8. Now for multiple videos you should just have to go to each one and once it plays copy the link from the top of the page and again do the paste thing.....

But how to do it from the mobile site or from a phone I have no idea hope you had a great time....
metalpeter - 08/07/11 09:48
1. Ok you need to go to Youtube and log in... Of course the part that might be tricky is that if it uploads from the phone you may not remember your user name and password......
