I am just happy that a Canadian group got to sit on top of the musical world Sunday night with Album of the Year. It's funny reading these comments on this tumblr

The Suburbs is the name of the band??? Look Tiffany, just because you never heard of them doesn't mean that they're not Phenomenal, the world does not revolve around you or started when you were born. It's funny and yet sad to sort through that thing.
But I have to say their sit eating grin at the beginning of Ready is just priceless and EPIC.
they also won a few at the Brit Awards last night!
But didn't this band lose in the group category so if they aren't the best group how can they win the Big Prize?? I'm not saying they aren't good but Didn't a bunch of other bands that people have heard of put out go Albums.... That being said they sounded pretty good.. See this years Grammy was about the new and young music as opposed to "The Old Guard" For example I loved the two (Alternative Country or maybe hillbilly Rock or maybe rock-a-billy ) Bands I have never heard of that played songs and then backed up Dilan .........
I was really shocked that people were upset that Arcade Fire won. I don't really listen to them a ton or anything but to have never have heard of them is surprising. I certainly don't listen to the Biebster but I know who he is.
In the crowd with Lady Antebellum, Eminem, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry, Arcade Fire just sticks out as the clear winner to me. Nothing against any these artists. Most of them seem more concerned with their image and dance moves than music.
As proof to the Grammys not really being a popularity contest Pat Metheny has won 17 times.
