Noteslate - electro notepad for tiny
Category: electronics
This thing seems like it has a lot of potenital for $99. I would totally replace paper with something like this - especially if it lives up to its 180 hour battery life.

NoteSlate is low cost tablet device with true one colour display, real paper look design, long life battery (180h !), together with very handy usage and very simple and helpful interface for pen and paper. This easy, compact and portable gadget is used anywhere you want to make any notes, drafts, sketches, any ideas for future reference. Paper for everyone! Write a note and check it later, save it, or delete it. Maybe send it after. Just one colour is enough to express the basics. Keep your life simple. You will love it. For $99.

Its not It's. I really need to watch that particular typo... it's creeping into my emails and I really want it gone.

WOW. I love the concept. But then, I loved the whole Pixel Qi - LCD by night and e-ink by day concept too. These über-nifty gadgets have a way of getting stuck in pre-release mud... I am hoping this sees the light of mass-production.

I would have loved it even more had it a PDF display option. Most of my notes are PDF-related.

BTW, I have the hand-me-down Nexus One finally and LOVING IT. I can see why you like it so much! It's so sleek and awesome (well... when there is an open wifi spot). It's microusb transfer cord works on your Nokia as well. I think I will post those hilarious pics of you and (e:mike) this weekend. :)

They call it "low tech". If you could export to .pdf or some other format that could be read by other apps, I think it would be very useful. The concept is interesting.

This might be the last day that our car is the cleanest in the lot.

Broken Everything
Category: house
I was just saying how everything is broken on (e:leetee)'s journal. Today the furnace decided to shut down too. That makes a broken stove, broken tv, broken car, broken furnace. I seriously can't take one more thing.

At noon we get the new car. This is totally overshadowed by the lack of heat. Unfortunately, I can't get a hold of our friend that installed the furnace. Anyone know a good company I can call?
tinypliny - 01/21/11 02:32
Yikes - looks like you had a rough weekend! Did you get it fixed? Whom did you call in the end?
libertad - 01/17/11 15:22
That sucks so bad. At least you can close yourselves off downstairs! The furnaces always break on the coldest day of the year. I hope it isn't too costly for you guys.

wood floor twist
Category: house
I really like this twist in the upstairs bedroom floor. I have a feeling the floor under the current floor in the dining room and living room is something similar.

Wait... what do mean by floor under the current floor. Do you mean to say that the shiny wood floor is masking this wood floor with patterns?!

Old Malibu, new malibu; done
Category: cars
I can't believe they gave us $1000 trade in on the old Malibu. It has no dash lights, no heat, a rusting out falling off gastank and enough dings that I can't count them.

First we went to the Ford store. The focus felt crappy compared to our old Malibu. Then we were going to go see the Honda accords but I didn't want to risk the drive out to transit in our about to die heatless car so we went right to the Padlock Chevy dealer on deleware in Kenmore. My parents bought their cars there and suggested it.

Like 5 minutes after we got there we settled on a certified 2009 Malibu LS with 14,000 miles with perfect carfax and 4 year warranty. The inside was nice and roomy for 3 unlike the cobalt

I was determined to make it a one day shopping experience and I did it!

Hahah - I almost thought you were going to mention my most favorite stair-queen EVER. Haven't seen him in such a long time... maybe he is the right person who can help my form in salsa.
libertad - 01/16/11 09:38
It looks solid, almost like a presidential motorcade would.
