Thursday in the Square Rocked
Category: thursday
It was one of the best ever. I went with just (e:keithT). We didn't have to wait for anyone or catch up with people. It was just pure enjoy the music and dance. Plus he walks really fast. The music was actually really fun, not sure of the actual genre but it was something mexican called ozomatli

I thought about going, I saw them years ago when they Opened up for The Offspring , they where really good but I don't remember much of the show, not sure if they would be considered ska or not. If you play rock style music and have like saxaphones or other brass or horns you are called ska but again don't know if that is correct, this is the one show I wanted to see this year, glad you had a great time.

Lucky, I love Ozomatli.

walking across the peace bridge sucks
The bridge is so not set up for pedestrians. It was so hard to find the entrance and the path was under construction and full of truck exhaust. Once we reached the other side we spent 20 minutes waiting for the boarder guard to even answer the door bell. All in all the walk home from Fort Erie to Buffalo took about and hour and a half.

Why did you walk across the Peace Bridge? (Or maybe more accurately, why did you drive across the Peace Bridge and then walk home?)
libertad - 07/08/10 22:45
It looks like Matt is about to go into the Alamo or something. I'm so scared to go over that bridge on my bike.

Steve's Clam Bar On Elmwood
Went to Steve's Clam Bar over at Cecilia's on Elmwood. The Fanny Bay oysters were amazing but $26.00 /dozen which is kind of steep. That being said they were perfect and I didn't have to get cut shucking them.

We had those, the malpeque oysters, oysters rockefellar and 2 dozen steamer clams. It might have been the first time I got full on mollusks.

They have organic alcohol drinks nowwhich seems ridiculous but I am a sucker for that. I got a red snapper martini and (e:matthew) got a cucumber lemonade martini.

I agree organic alcohol sounds redic, but the drinks tasted good and were not much more than a regular drink.
paul - 07/09/10 14:27
They are definitely my favorite food. If you were here we would go more often.
lilho - 07/08/10 19:40
Omg! So jealous, I looove oysters so much. They would be a top 5 food for me. I need to find a good seafood place stat!
jason - 07/06/10 15:52
Still don't know if I could hang with oysters. I've had steamed clams there though and loved them. Agree with Tony on organic booze. C'mon man!! Actually, cucumber sounds great in a martini.
enknot - 07/06/10 12:25
Seriously, organic alochol? It's booze... booooooooooze! how much "better for you" do you want ti to beeeeeeee?!

wholefoods rocks
There were so many delicious food options that it was overwhelming. I would trade the coop for wholefoods anyday. Too bad the closest one is in oakville. There were multiple premade foods with octopus.

I agree. It is so pricey to shop there though, and with my taste I always want the most delicious and most expensive foods.
uncutsaniflush - 07/06/10 06:13
My mistake. To me, trade or barter inherently involves comparing what is being bartered or traded, i.e. when sports teams trade players and draft picks.
paul - 07/05/10 12:05
I am not comparing. I am just saying I would trade one for the other.
uncutsaniflush - 07/04/10 21:54
I agree that Whole Food rocks. And yet, I am moved to say that I think it is unfair to compare a multi-national food retailer like Whole Foods with an independent food co-operative with one storefront. But that's just me.
eVaBasketDude - 07/04/10 19:21
I had one a block away from where I lived in New Orleans it was amazing. Like a warehouse of awesomeness.
metalpeter - 07/04/10 15:05
Well the Pizelles look great
