omg i thought i was going to lose it
this was last night. my arm got crazy hot and itchy during the party when Nameless Bitch said, "are you allergic to latex maybe as the red radiates out exactly in the shape of the bandaid?" i totally am and for some reason it did not occur to me that all the fancy bandaids i bought were made out of latex. after leaving it out of a bandaid and going back to hydrogen peroxide and neosporin with latex free bandaids it looks much better.

That is so sick looking. Glad you figured it out.

sea bar yum
i love seabar downtown and they expanded their menu to include lots of other things besides sushi. (e:terry) got savory waffles with fried chicken and maple syrup. I got linguine with two kinds of clams.

cut
is this what a cut should look like 5 days after it happens? im starting to think its infected.

Ive been using neosporin on it since it happens on Monday. I am going to try drying it out.
jenks - 06/05/10 16:14
yeah, I think it looks more wet than infected. maybe a little tiny superficial infection, that would clear up with neosporin, (like everyone else said, haha, I'm so helpful). but nothing BAD.

But also- let it dry out. a THIN layer of neosporin, and maybe no bandaid. At least give a few hours a day to get some air.
scott - 06/04/10 21:34
This scrape looks lightly infected to me, but within the range of what Neosporin/Bactitracin can handle, I think.

Toss one or the other on it and give it a day, and keep it covered. Then if it doesn't start to clear up, I'd say it's time to see someone about it.
tinypliny - 06/04/10 20:25
Is it warm to touch?
iriesara - 06/04/10 16:05
In my experiences (and being very clumsy, I've hurt myself a lOT), it depends. Had you just showered or something? Because being wet for a while will definitely make the scab look gross like that. However, the redness around is a good indicator that it's infected. I'm sure 1000X you neosporined, but gravelly concrete can be pretty gross.
lilho - 06/04/10 16:01
that is so disgusting paul, and its looking infected for sure. if it doesn't go away, i would see the dr.

having a utility knife...

...makes removing old window putty 1000% easier than just holding a razor blade in your hand.

OMG, after all the work you've done on that house and you just figure this out? I'm surprised you haven't lost any fingers! Be careful!!!
