The Pixel Qi, is the panel that the NotionInk Adam uses.. so that it can be a reader, and LCD... I think that one fits what you want best.. at least by whats announced now..
The enTourage eDGe is crap from the reviews I read... Its huge, and underpowered, and badly implemented. I was sad to hear it, as it looked like a neat idea also..

I guess I desperately want a tablet because I really want to be able to cart my library of PDFs anywhere, read in sunshine or anywhere really, and write and annotate anywhere. I can see why (e:Paul) might not be the exact target audience for a tablet/e-reader type of device.
In addition to the ones you pointed out, there is also:
-- enTourage eDGe which is out already @ ~$500 :::link::: And looks promising.
-- Skiff reader - really cool concept but not out yet and not sure whether or when it might get marketed. :::link:::
-- Que Reader - pricey from Barnes and Noble. :::link:::
-- Pixel Qi - which can potentially ship with the Chrome OS systems (I am crossing my appendages. :)) :::link:::

If you do get one, I hope you get the joojoo one. It is the only one I am curious to see in real life.

Wow, I have no interest in one from any company. I think it is because I am always with my laptop which I program on. If not I am mobile and in that case the phone is big enough. I can see how they would appeal to other people who could just get rid of their computers and conduct email/browsing through the device.

Lol. No Just the Slate an Courier .. both Windows 7 ones... which I didnt want anyway.. the ones that interest me right now..
1. JooJoo - already out... Linux based.. its just a web browser pretty much.. supporting Flash... had a rocky start, but the company is behind improving the JooJoo OS.
2. NotionInk Adam - Android OS, has a screen that works as a E-Reader and LCD...Flash Web Support.. App Store .. etc.
3. ICD Gemini - Android Based - Flash support.
4. WePad - Linux Based - Flash Support- App Store.. etc..
Mostly all Linux or Android based. JooJoo is very similar to Chrome OS idea, but its out now, and will have been out several months before the first Chrome OS machine even is produced.

I want one as well! But it would be a good decision to wait till Chrome OS systems come out.
