You should listen to e:tinyplinytinypliny writes at 09:34:26 10/11/08 - Comment #40098tinyplinyThanks for sharing, ((e:dragonlady)). I will keep that in mind and might switch when the guilt becomes unbearable.
Blood is not revolting or even disturbing to me at all.
As for ear candles. PLEASE RETURN THEM!!! They are clinically not efficacious, and in fact injurious.
link I was so grossed out by the sponges that I totally missed that you bought them!!
If you want to get earwax out, try and get eardrops/oil and drop them into your ear for a week or so (a few drops daily). This will soften the wax up. Then get a syringing appointment at the ENT clinic. Syringing is a process by which a fine spray of sterile water is pointed into the ear and pushes out the softened wax.
More tips for ear-health:
PLEASE get rid of all your earbuds. They are the NUMBER #1 reason for impacted wax and do more harm and no good at all. They push ear wax deeper into the ear. The ear has a natural conveyor belt like assembly whereby ear wax is naturally circulated outward from the tympanic membrane into the external ear canal. The best way to clean your ears is by swishing your finger gently around your external ear while you are showering. Poking and using earbuds are the reason 50K Americans report to the ENT clinic with impacted wax every year. I cannot reiterate this enough. Get rid of the ear candles and the earbuds. Both are evil little implements of ear ruin. :(
I tell the kids at work to "never stick anything in your ear that's smaller than your elbow." And as for wet ears, I suggest running a hair dryer on them for a minute. It dries them out super quick!
I don't mind wet ears but water build up is gross. I did at one time use some type of drops and q-tips to clean out my ears they where really bad and I made sure to pull forward it was amazing how much gross stuff came out of them, yuck glad I never had to do that again. I think I somehow got a bunch of water in there during a show, and that is what lead to the problems but not sure.
It is OK to Q-tip after showers so long as you don't stick it into the ear canal. I don't ever want this to happen again though. It cost me a $35 co-pay and it cost my insurance company a lot more. I also took the day off of work so there was the loss of productivity as well.
(e:tinypliny) what do you suggest for ear drops/oil for maintenance of the ear canal? I think my impaction might have been influenced by my allergies.
I understand the risk, but I HAVE to q-tip after showers. I can't stand the feeling of wet ears. yuck.
i told you that ten years, but you don't listen to me!

Peace on Your Plate Bridge?!"Changing the bridge's name to the 'Peace on Your Plate Bridge' is a win-win situation," says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. "The name change would help keep this vital link in Western New York's economy up and running, and people crossing the bridge would be reminded that we really can have world peace -- starting with one meal at a time."
I would rather them close the bridge than name it something so ridiculous! PETA is seriously deranged.
PETA is genius.
They just put out an absurd press release and all the news outlets go "holy shit, PETA wants to purchase an iron foundry and rename it Furious Over Fur and Ferrous Foundries". They get in every paper and the local news, people who feel bad for the little voles donate money. They made money for writing a press release and faxing it. Ka-fucking-Ching!
That is so fucked. I agree with your assessment.

Peanut oil?I found peanut oil on my quest to find soybean paste. I got the peanut oil at spice bazaar. It was 12.99/gallon. The stupid soybean paste I looked everywhere for. I started at Wegmans, then I went to A'Chau :::link::: then we went to Guercio's, then we went to Spice Bazaar and then to Tops International and the larger Wegmans on Sheridan and then finally to some disgusting, stinking of rotten fish, Asian place by Ling Ling's in Kenmore. They finally had it. Mike and I actually got a jar of it at A'Chau's but it was with chili in it and it looked gross.
I never thought to think of having it shipped. The shipping adds an extra $13.00 to the price but that still seems reasonable when considering how much a smaller sized bottle has cost me in the past. I don't have memberships to Sams or BJ's because I generally don't need bulk so I think amazon is the way to go.
a 1 gallon jug is $15 on amazon.
Well that would be a lot of BJ's HA, besides I don't think the food would taste very good, ha. Seriously the other place I'm guessing would be Sam's club (yes they are owned by wal-mart that is an issue for some). I wonder if that big food place out on clinton sells it also?
Wouldn't BJ's be a source

My new bed!It still has that new smell which is the biggest downfall. The top layer of the mattress is organic cotton but that does little to protect me from all the flame retardant chemicals they douse the bed in because some people can't refrain from smoking in bed and passing out with a lit cigarette! I took the down comforter (e:mike) got me last year for Xmas out of storage and am using that with the window cracked open because my apt gets so hot. I leave the humidifier running all night otherwise I get completely dried out from the inside out.
Now that I can sleep well I think my lungs will recover. I should go to the gym today rather than the clinic.
I love it! Nostalgia defined.
I love her expression. She looks opinionated.
