bronchitis? asthma? allergies?
Since getting sick right after Xmas I have been waking up in the middle of the night with coughing fits. Last night I went to bed by 11pm and woke up around 1am coughing and started to have a hard time breathing. I think I have bronchitis or maybe asthma. This may be related also to my allergies which have been very bad lately with the latest box of timothy hay I got for my rabbit. A new kind of hay, orchard grass is due to be delivered today and I know that my allergies don't react that bad to this hay. This latest timothy hay I have even makes my arms break out when I touch it.

Tomorrow I plan on going to the afterhours clinic since it doesn't seem to be going away on its own. I hope they won't have to give me antibiotics or put me on an inhaler but if it will make me better, I'll take it. It is so weird that it only happens at night and I am almost completely fine during the day. When I got sick over Xmas it was different than I normally feel when sick. I had so much more mucuss than normal. There was one time I almost chocked on it.

In winter '05 I got sick and had symptoms like yours. Turned out I had a mild case of pneumonia. Going to get checked at the clinic is a good idea.

I would recommend getting a humidifier, too, if you don't have one. Dry air makes respiratory issues so much worse, and I bet it would help your recovery to have one.

that is so awful. it's blasphemy. The bible certainly never glorifies wealth. They should be offering you food, not wealth. lame
metalpeter - 01/17/10 09:30
I got that in the mail to and didn't open it all, now I know when I find it to trash it.
tinypliny - 01/15/10 21:37
O Lord, I am personally typing this message and pray that everytime I do get on the 11, it goes straight past Amherst and drops me at BigLots Plaza. Amen.
zobar - 01/15/10 17:29
O Lord we pray for the 11 bus may we not get on the 25 by accident and end up in the wrong place.

Thank you! We have stuff to recycle, and given my day trying to get a blue bin, i probably would have missed this.

Libertad and his bitch
Maybe you didn't know but Libertad used to be a prize winning dog handler. Here he is with his beloved Tiny but Tuff. She truly lived up to her name and often without warning would lunge for attack. She was completely vicious towards other bitches. The other thing she was known for was her cunning ability to escape. One time my dad and I left her in her crate while we went into a hardware store quick. When we got to the cashier to check out we heard a car horn blow for a long period of time. When we left the store we found Tuffy standing up with her front paws planted firmly on the steering wheel. My dad and I were astonished to see that she escaped from the crate and was blowing the car horn! The crate was still locked and she somehow squeezed through the sides.

I love this picture. I love my hair and wish it still looked like that. I used to have really nice thick hair.

Wow, that's so awesome. I've been to the Westminster Dog show before and after that (and the movie Best in Show) I have a whole new respect for people who show dogs.

James has something against redheads!
james - 01/14/10 08:40
That is so adorable!

Are you standing next to Margaret Thatcher?
paul - 01/13/10 22:18
Thats so cute. I miss my hair too, damn old age.
tinypliny - 01/13/10 21:11
Interesting picture - its like one of those montage pictures they show in cool films (set to crazy music). I am sure fellow-montage-enthusiasts-at-heart (I am looking at you (e:mike)) will agree.

Do you wash your new clothes?
I do. I think it is gross not to, but I am also sort of neurotic. I just watched this thing on yahoo about the different stuff they find while testing new clothing. They find all sorts of bugs and yeasts and fungi.

They don't mention how often the clothing is made in third world countries who may use dangerous fumigation methods or the fact that the dyes and stuff they use in the fabrics are skin irritants in themselves.

I know a lot of people don't wash their stuff before hand. Actually I know someone who buys new sheets and doesn't wash them first. No skin off my back (unless of course I tried on your shirt before I purchased it).
iriesara - 01/14/10 11:48
it depends on what they are...and how much of a hurry I'm in to wear the new thing.

underwear, for sure. Like a hoody sweatshirt or something? probably not.

and all my son's stuff, cause he's got sensitive skin like his mama.
tinypliny - 01/13/10 21:07
I wash my new clothes twice. The first time it's to get rid of that shop-smell. Yuckety Yuck. The second time, its a rigorous wash/dry cycle to see whether I can shrink the hell out of them (and they still don't fit!).

I guess that makes me super-neurotic.
