Great pictures thanks for sharing them, yeah sometimes he is sketchy looking, unlike the pictures they use on Coke around the holiday.

absolutely terrifying! the eyes, the eyes.
tinypliny - 12/20/09 17:45
ugh, living it up to the expectations of the catholic church.

(e:tinypliny) Look again, Santa is grabbing that kid's crotch!! Hilarious pictures

I've been a Santa. It is not easy. The worst Santa experience was terry's though. My dad asked him if "Santa wanted some alcohol." Santa agreed and then my dad brought him a glass of lemon juice with a straw. He had to stay in character. Terry was never santa again.

These are great; I laughed so hard. Thanks :)

Yes, but why is the third Santa from the top creepy? Seems like everyone is smiling in that picture - well except for the baby. But then babies pretty much cry most of the time anyway.

The importance of humidity
Perhaps my life is a bit boring, but I feel the need to talk about my new humidifier. I LOVE IT SO MUCH! (Fargo Asian accent). When I moved to my new apartment I slowly realized I was drying out from the outside in. My skin was cracking and burning and my eyes were blood shot and and I woke up so thirsty...and then I got the humidifier. My life is so much better now. I even love the bubbling of the water boiling. It is seriously high maintenance to clean it every day because my water is so hard and I am so OCD, but it is totally worth it.

I wanted one that had a digitally adjustable humidistat but I settled for one without because I wanted one so bad. I couldn't wait after getting a severe sore throat. This is the one I got. It is a Vicks so I have the optional medicine cup.

I use it in the bedroom because the rest of the apartment gets humidity from the toilet, shower and from cooking. The plants help too but they are struggling in the loss of humidity. I gave them all a nice long shower this weekend. They really loved the attention.

I can't stress enough, the right balance of humidity is essential. If you have too much, or too little, it can be detrimental to your health.

When it ran it used to make this gurgling sound that made me want to pee whenever I heard it. It was most uncomfortable. I thought of donating it to a urology or geriatric department at one point - when I couldn't sleep for even my meagre 3-4 hours at a stretch. I had to go and pee whenever my sleep was disturbed and I heard the gurgles. Blargh.
tinypliny - 12/07/09 23:56
And of course you know the importance of being earnest as well. ;-)

I get nosebleeds everyday. I have a humidifier but the filter is somewhat gross because I washed it too much and the mesh sort of disintegrated (you may want to go easy with the washing) - and I am too lazy to replace the filter.

theecarey - 11/30/09 23:15
I literally feel your pain and itchiness! Humidifiers really do make a difference when the home is dry. I have a cool air humidifier for my main living area and a small warm air one for my bedroom which is where I need it most. It think that one is a Vicks as well, but much less fancy looking than yours. Both will be coming out of storage soon. So far the humidity is holding at about 60%. Your place sounds unbearable if you are experiencing all of that so soon! Glad you bought yourself some relief. It IS an exciting purchase. :)

Taps for Veteran's/Remembrance Day
They still are dying, every single day. This bugler plays the best Taps I have heard.

If you want some History about Taps...
