Re: "beast 'pro' camera"
Haha, that reminds me of (e:southernyankee)'s monster camera. No wonder she has those well-toned biceps and triceps.

The new iphones have much better cameras than the originals did -- so it's been a pleasure to take photos with. The quality is great, plenty for the web. They wouldn't blow up / print out as well as I'd like though. They're also abysmal in low light.
There's an old saying that the best camera is the one you have with you. Having this in my pocket means I'm a lot more likely to snap something then if I had to lug out my beast of a 'pro' camera.

I guess its proof that good photos are actually in the eye of the photographer regardless of whatever the photographing means (I don't think the iphone camera is that much different from a point-and-click, is it?) Your photographing eye is pretty amazing.
I was reading presentation zen recently, and all your photographs are either consciously or unconsciously aligned to the 3X3 (tic-tac-toe) asymmetry grid with no objects of interest in the dullest middle square.
