So today (e:anne) came over and we made dinner and then watched TV, something I don't do often at all. The TV part, that is. (e:anne) doesn't have cable, so she enjoys coming over to watch all of our channels. Anyway, we spent most of the evening watching TLC, and 2 of the 3 shows we watched revolved around morbidly obese people trying to improve themselves. I mean I know they're supposed to be inspirational but what is wrong with these people? I just don't get it! Once you hit like, 300, isn't that time to quit? I mean I know these people generally have severe psychological issues. But how sad!!!!! And all the time and money that is spent helping people who just need to eat less and move more...ugh. Ridiculous!!!!!

chicagoooooSo I wanted to put up some pictures but I think they're too big or something. Maybe I'll put some up later when it's not 11:30. Anyway, here I am in Chicago!!!! I only have two more days of classes, then singing at graduation on Saturday and hitting the road! I actually won't be home until Sunday, but that's okay. I miss home so much. I miss my cat and my family and doing Buffalo-like things. It sounds like the weather has been craptastic though, so that's not something I'm missing. Chicago has been fun again this year, although not quite as exciting as last year - probably because I've been here before. Highlights of this summer included a great deal of yummy food, learning how to conduct fairly well, writing some nice choral arrangements, eating tasty food, going for lots of long walks, and did I mention food? One not so nice part of being here was stress. I was having a lot of trouble with stress last week. Just feeling very anxious and panicky all the time. It's been waaaay better this week since all my work is finished and I only have one more exam. I haven't felt panicked at all. But there were definitely some scary moments last week. Panic attacks are not fun. My poor body can't handle them!!!!!
Ok well maybe I should study for music history...or maybe not because music history ROCKS and I rock AT it. Especially Modern Music History. Boom. I rock.
So even though I don't feel like putting up Chicago pics, I will put up a couple hot, sexy webcam pics :)

COME SEE GREAT SINGINGThis weekend, the Harmonia Chamber Singers will be giving its fourth and final concert of the year, titled "A Cappella Infusion". It is a concert featuring a variety of styles, all on the "lighter" side, including "Blackbird" by the Beatles and "Africa" by Toto (yes, the 80's song). We were a finalist in the Artvoice "Best of Buffalo" contest!
Saturday, March 30, 8:00 at St. Gregory the Great (off Maple, next to Millard Filmore Suburban) in Williamsville
Sunday, May 31, 3:00 at Holy Trinity (across from Anchor Bar) in downtown Buffalo.
There is no set admission and a free-will offering is collected at the concert.

phoneI lost my phone last weekend and haven't had time to look for it. Tomorrow will be the first day I will have the afternoon free to tear apart my house. It's weird not having a phone. I actually kinda like it. At least there's no chance I'll get pulled over for talking on it. But at the same time I didn't talk to my sister or family basically all week, and that was weird. I feel like I'm going to find it someplace totally random, if I find it at all. Yuck.

mysterious popeye'sDoes anyone else remember that there used to be a Popeye's on Sheridan? The restaurant that serves chicken and biscuits and stuff? I know it probably wasn't there long but IT WAS THERE. Unfortunately, the only other people that remember are my boyfriend, sister and mother, and (e:mike) doesn't think this is good enough (since he does not remember or believe me that it was there). I need your support, people!!!!!

You saw the shows and I didn't so you have more info to figure out how they got that way. At first I think the same thing you think. But then if you think about it, getting that big makes sense. If you live a life style where you eat a lot and don't move around or have some condition that makes you gain weight then unless you change some things you would never stop growing. I think there becomes a point where that problem is to big to handle. You look at your self and see ugly so you stop caring about what you look like. If you move around then you at least burn some calories, but once you get to a point that moving hurts then you stop. Since you aren't doing anything you have more time to eat. I'm also guessing that a lot of these people have people helping them but that they aren't professionals so like them helping paying bills just hurts the person instead of helping them. One other factor is that you don't just get that big it is a little bit at a time so once you are heavy you might not notice the difference other in clothes sizes, but maybe they bought big sizes a head of time who knows?
