I would really like to have a fancy indoor honey farm like this one.
It's really fun to watch.
lilho - 08/14/09 15:17 me too as long AS someone else harvests the honey and makes damn sure the bees don't get out.
dimartiste - 08/14/09 14:09 That is soo cool! Please tell me that you traveled to this special place?! This is not like in your apartment, right?!
Bees are cool to watch, but I do not know how people can actually work with them. One of the books I read has a honey colony on the property. Gail Fraser's books about Lumby. An imaginary community which their own farm is modeled on in Upstate New York.

Sliding down a mountain
Skilift is kinda shaky. At the end you ride down in a sled. How
awesome is that. I wonder why none of our WNY ski resorts add
something like this. You can go really freakin fast.
rory - 08/16/09 07:24 Wooo!! They have one of those in Rotorua in New Zealand. Seriously fun - the one there has some sharp-ish drops that you can get decent air off if you go quick enough.
More places need stuff like this.
lilho - 08/14/09 15:18 that seriously looks like the most fun ever!!! they have those in CO, and i think all the way upstate near canada at the skit resorts there... was there an olympics there once?
dimartiste - 08/14/09 14:10 Buffalo Bobsledding. "Sanka, ya dead yet?"
heidi - 08/13/09 16:08 That is so cool! It's just like the Jamaican luge team's practice area!
mrmike - 08/13/09 13:22 I went on something similar at a resort in Collingwood Ontario, it is an absolute blast. It does make wonder why Holiday Valley hasn't taken the plunge.

Why can't it just be tommorrow yet?
I seriously can't deal with another rainy day.
bridgette - 08/13/09 11:23 I just try to remember those who are experienceing severe drought, or typhoons. having so much rain sucks, but it could always be worse.
james - 08/13/09 10:18 That wasn't fog, that wad haze. The super heat and the super humidity is fogging out the sun like a lid over steamed cauliflower.
tinypliny - 08/13/09 09:22 HEHEHEHE....
Its excellent in Buffalo right now and will be throughout this weekend. (This morning was super foggy though. What was up with that? It was bizarrely spooky at around 5:40 AM)

I already miss the island
We decided to head south to the ledges but unfortunately we hit a one
day bad weather patch which trapped us in a motel for today ;(
lilho - 08/13/09 12:03 wow that looks so great. i think i only really like camping with you guys, you are so good at it.
james - 08/13/09 07:58 Then you shouldn't have signaled for help with that coconut radio, Professor.
