Apple break pre in itunes
Category: computers
I have more entertaining journal to post later, but as I sit here scanning my home title to send to the mortgage people for closing tomorrow, I couldn't help but notice the threat on apple breakin palm pre compatibility with itunes

I am not surprised at all, what I am surprised about is that people are happy about it because they can't believe anyone would "steal" from apple.

Seriously, Apple did all thge hard work with iTunes, and a company creates a product and think that they can just ride Apple's coat tails ?

C'mon - make your own software, you stupid idiots!

Seriously fucktard. Get a clue, apple borrowed like 98% of everything in os x from unix and open source projects. If anyone is riding on anyone's coattails its apple riding on the open source communities hard work.

Everyone wants to make money. That's pretty much, it.

Being skinny

It doesn't mean you can't eat junkfood. It mean saying a half a cookie
and a half cup of pocorn was enough food for the whole day.

I wish that wasn't true but it's been the busiest day ever and Noe
it's time to go get beer.

Beef on weck soup

I went back to the taste of buffalo with (e:James) last night. I
finally tried the beef on Weck soup which was good but needed
horseradish cream or something.

I also tasted dinosaur barbeque which is actually from Rochester. I
never knew why people traveled so far for it but now I know. It was
the mist delicious BBQ I ever had.

The begger at walgreens on north
Category: beggars
She is always there or around it. I am so sick of her and her drama
stories. She is a lying hustler. I honestly have a hard time not
spitting on her at this point.

I really hate it when you see the people fall for her shit and give
her money.

Today's story is it's the Taste of Buffalo and the police are just
arresting people . She makes it sound so Nazi state without any
context.

When that doesn't work she pulls out her tried and true story of the
decade: her daughter unexpectantly had a baby she wasn't ready for
and that she needs to get to sisters to deal with it.

She has been telling that very same story since I used to come here in
high school. Either she has 1000 grandchildren or she is a liar. I
vote liar.

Its sad because scumbag, scamartists like her give the city a bad rap
and on top of that make people care less when there is someone that is
really begging for money and really needs it.

The one woman even went back to her car to get more money, what a
sucker. I mean she is definately a hustler, but even if she wasn't,
that is what social welfare programs are for. To help people and to
keep it legit and for that we already pay a lot.

I feel like for the amount of times I have had to put up with that
story, she owes me. Just to be clear she is the one on the stripped
shirt.

Beggars - I used to have to talk with them daily on Elmwood. No matter what business I worked for over the years there is always one. Yes. I agree with you. Unfortunately this is there supplemental income. Yes, you are right. "There is a sucker born every minute" (the circus guy said that) Buffalo really is about friendly neighbors, unfortunately most beggars need to learn some protocol. On Elmwood I was like if you asked me once then you are done for the day. Most of them respected that, learning that it depended on my mood. Most of the time on only gave them food. Now I am kind of hard hearted about most of their hard luck stories. They may have been true at one time, but some stories are not good repeat business. That's when I wonder if they are "Day Passes" released from the phsyc center.

I haven't seen her recently as we have switched our family meds back to Wegman's.

OK - I am totally horrible for this, but I also start giving them a hard luck story of my own back.

I really did have a hard time a while back. I was on welfare and couldn't make ends meet. I was so angry how they treated me downtown. Hell I have been paying taxes since I could work. When this beggar came up and asked if I could spare a dollar and I let him have it. My anger at the system, at my roommates for screwing me over with the bills, at the eviction notice, at the bills being run up in my name, at my counselor who acted like I barely could read or write instead of an eduated person with a degree - I rambled on and on and on and on. For every problem he could figure out he heard he handed me a dollar saying he was sorry! That day I cried. Now, I can laugh.

Oh man, you are right. I speed-walk in and out because I have small personal record going about how fast I can get milk home. The current record stands at 14 minutes (to and fro, with 3 deep cashier queues).
tinypliny - 07/12/09 20:32
HAHAHA... for some reason Vincent, that is hilarious!
vincent - 07/12/09 20:17
Suckers!

But in actuality that happens everywhere just about every city. I used to have this conversation with co-workers in Canada about the differences in panhandlers between our two countries. We basically decided that Canadian panhandlers were more polite and had some semblance of manners while US panhandlers were belligerent, crude and demanding.
paul - 07/12/09 16:44
My guess is that you walk too fast for it to happen. You have to saunter a bit for her to start the story.
tinypliny - 07/12/09 15:15
I go there all the time and I have never seen this woman...

Glad you were able to make it for some of it even if it wasn't to long.
