Computer peeps!
My friend Thomas is a computer guy (Web stuff, I'm pretty sure) and got laid off. Anybody know anybody that's hiring?

I also have another friend that is looking for a pastor/preaching/chaplain gig, but I figure the former job has a better chance on (e:strip).
jim - 07/13/09 18:20
Drew, if you can let me know any specifics about Thomas I can see if he might be a good fit for either of our current openings, but I'd need to know this week, otherwise we've got some candidates lined up already.

Is he a programmer, or a web designer, or whatever, and any sample work/sites he has up anywhere.

Cheers :)

Did the other pastor friend get fired as well?!
paul - 07/11/09 11:08
I don't know of anything, sorry.
jim - 07/11/09 10:59
I know of openings but it will depend on specifics, is all.
jim - 07/11/09 10:59
Can you get his resume and email it to me?

Concert Tonight on Bidwell
I will be there. You should be there. It starts at 7.
jenks - 07/03/09 08:15
Aw, I love those concerts. Better than thurs in the square.
And Neville is great. (he's also a social worker in the trauma ICU at ECMC.)
heidi - 06/30/09 22:27
It was Neville Francis & the Riddim Posse tonight. I stopped by for a little bit but didn't see anyone from (e:strip).

International Bike Ride
Category: bikes
(e:janelle) ran hard today, and embarrassed me off the couch, so I jumped on my bike. In addition to grabbing my helmet (a new habit), I also grabbed my passport. There is a nice bike path on the other side of the Niagara River, and along Lake Erie. It's a great ride.

One warning though--the ride from Canada to the USA is uphill, so be prepared for hard work going home.

I took some pics. I may post them later or maybe even make a movie.
libertad - 05/26/09 08:59
Did you go to the Falls? I have been intending on making that trip for a few months now. Can't wait!
dcoffee - 05/25/09 21:06
that sounds like fun. I'll have to try that! I love exploring by bike.
jbeatty - 05/25/09 17:01
I have been wanting to do that ride. Everytime I think of it I have to work later that day. I would rather not be stuck at the border when I need to be transporting sushi.
metalpeter - 05/25/09 11:34
Cool, I look forward to seeing them

I feel dirty
Because I have posted more on Buffalo Rising than here. Please forgive me.

Tonight I am hosting a back yard movie party. Guess where we will be watching Religulous?

yeah. My back yard. I think we are going to have a fire, too, so it should be fun.
