Octopus at kosta's is still tasty

I am pleased that the octopus remains on the kosta's menu. I wish
they still had the fresh calamari with roasted red peppers. For some
reason it went away in favor of fried calamari.

You might be the most compatible food person I ever met. Well, besides that one black banana.
james - 07/07/09 22:46
oh man. I am tempted to drive over to Kosta's right now.

Fun burn and crab cakes
Category: food
(e:James) and I hit Bennett beach for the first time this summer and
while it's not half as fun on a windless/waveless day, it was still
pretty awesome. I got sun burned for the first time in years although
it's pretty mild and just on the top of my chest. It seems like
wherever there is hair I don't burn and there is hair just about
everywhere.

The reason I look so crazy in this pic is because I was trying to
press my sun burn and show the white finger marks but it was almost
impossible to time with the iPhone camera. You can still see four white finger marks on my upper chest.

Afterwords, we ate at Dug's Dive on route five right near downtown but on the other side if the skyway. The seafood selection was amazing.

I want to go back asap. We both had crabcake burgers and then split a side order of butter topped with sweet potato fries, lol. I uploaded
some menu snapshots but sadly forgot to take pics of the actual food. I saw someone eating clams and they looked so good.

After that dinner we went to matt sisters birthday at pearl street and
ate another dinner and drank lots of beer.

Then it's one more stressful day of work followed by a bunch of day's
off while terry's mom is visiting.

I love the smell of fish, but I did not notice one except by the dude eating a bucket of clams. And yes, there is a ton of space outside to sit. Not sure if it is business owned, but there was a lot of wharf space that looked open.
dimartiste - 07/06/09 11:31
Thanks for the menu. I am severely allergic to seafood. I was happy to see I could order something else. Silly questions: Is there a strong seafood odor? Is there a place to sit outside? I've really wanted to go sketch the marina and they look like a cool place to hang out.
james - 07/06/09 09:03
It was an excellent day. Thanks for having me along.

Lame Al

When I first saw this on the subway last night, i thought, what kind
of business person would name themselves lame al. Then I realized it
was Spanish.

The subway ride home from the fireworks was crazy, there were like 50
million people on the packed train.

tinypliny - 07/05/09 19:10
Heheheh... 50 million people. Are you sure it wasn't 52? Heidi, Adrian and I waited around a little before catching a later train. The crowds had thinned out substantially.
metalpeter - 07/05/09 12:18
I saw one train go by and it looked insane my #3 bus wasn't to bad, hope you had a great time last night
