I'm looking for some recs on Hotels in Buffalo. My Mother and I are coming to Buf-a-ho for the birth of the first Ho grandchild. My Mom doesn't want to impose on her friends for too long and wants to stay in a hotel for the weekend that I'll be there. I said I'd stay in one as well and split the cost. My first choice was the Mansion on Delaware, but it's pretty expensive (WTF $300 for a hotel in BUFFALO in FEB?!). Adams Mark only has smoking rooms (again I didn't think they existed anymore). Ideally I'd like to stay downtown-ish so I can booze it up and hang out.
Suggestions?

"they make your house fucking stink"
The fact that they make your house smell like a permanent outhouse is so true and why people love it is something I'll never understand. People in 3rd world countries know better than to leave poop in their living quarters.
At least with a dog, if you have a yard they'll go outside and if you have the money you can even hire someone to go pick it up for you ever so often. I used to know a guy that made a very good living on dog poop.

Last night I was fixing (e:libertad)'s computer and it made me so freakin allergic. Like worse than cats if that is possible. I am still allergic today, despite taking two ebendryl which knocked me out. According, to my allergy test, rabbits are my most allergic item after tree mold.
I am allergic to hay too and dave said the dust was a combo of rabbit dander and hay dust. To be fair he vacuumed it out before bringing it. I am just five alarm allergic to rabbits.

2009Apparently 2009 has the theme of do the exact opposite of what is a good choice (it kinda fits the theme of 2005-2007). Anyway one of those wrong choices is my not so secret obsession with loving to hate vapid, self absorbed, unaware girl blogs. So there's one blog that I kinda heart. It's Jullia Allison's blog. I kinda feel like if I hadn't had any hardship in life I could have very possibly turned into her (note: I'm glad life didn't turn out that way because despite all the qualities I dislike about me, I think I actually have some pretty good qualities too). So really the point of this is. I love this blog entry of hers:
Me:
Is it okay that I wear the EXACT SAME OUTFIT on every single first date?
Lilly:
[licks the ground]
Me:
I'm going to take that as a "yes."
Incase you didn't want to click over above is the entry. Lilly is her cute puppy.
I do the same exact thing! Once you have a good date outfit why change it? Mine is this black cashmere v-neck button down. It's soft and snuggley. The boys like it :)

A conversation..I've officially ended things with Mr. Broadway. It's a long story, but I felt the need to send him an email explaining to him exactly why. The original was slightly vengeful. I sent the modified one to Tom so he could give me his thoughts. This is our conversation:
Tom: was that the toned down one?
Jessica: yes
Tom: wow...it was more sharp than that?
Jessica: do you not know me?
Tom: ok...it was kind of rhetorical
Jessica: the orginal had more of a fuck you tone
Tom: and that one didn't?!!?
Jessica: that was my "taking the higher road" tone
Tom: with a double middle finger salute as you walk down that road

Man, and you used to be crazy about Mr. Broadway. I definitely relate to the "used to be crazy about you" think. I remember thinking with past girlfriends, man, I'm not going to get anyone better than her, I'm a fuckup - but after a while you see that their nose is crooked and they pick their nose, are rude to people and...man they weren't all that fucking sweet to begin with.

Ah! That's it. I am going to time my future Spot visits with (e:Joshua). I could maybe hack into that camera on that intersection and see when you are going there. There *must* be something* special in your coffee for people to want to take it. I am certainly not going to miss out. Thank you!

There are so many I can't decide:
Excessive Litterbug (side note: when tourists litter in NYC I want to chase after them with their trash and tell them I don't litter in their town so don't effing litter in mine)
Undecided Voter
Concert Pusher
Cast of Real World Brooklyn
Traveler with Giant Backpack on Subway
Self-Important Bluetooth Guy
Tandem Sidewalk Tourists

Right... rant over! Don't take my coffee at Spot y'all - just saying.
- 56 is familiar - I guard my coffees like a hawk when I'm waiting at Spot. Way too many times have I had obvious visitors just scoop whatever cup is at the bar, taking my shit and thus leaving me to tell the barista about the situation. I'm sure they love making drinks twice simply because some oblivious human debris can't wait for and/or verify their own orders!

all you need is the Elmwood Village Inn

I will admit I don't know what is good and where you would like. If you want to be on the Chip Strip there are two Hotels right there that I all ways forget the name of, one houses Fridays and the other one is across from spot and has all kinds of places to eat in from street level on Delaware. There is also a Hotel that A lot of people don't know about on the East Side Near roswel I think it is called double tree, or something like that. I think it might be part of one of the buildings.
Hmm - Hyatt Regency is $109-ish. Most of the 3-star level stuff downtown is $100-$120 or so.
Um yes I am. You can get the Parker Meridian in NYC for $200 now.
You are really surprised The Mansion is $300? It's a luxury accomodation.
Why not the Holiday Inn on Delaware Ave. It's only a block away from the 24. You could alway try the Best Western around there as well. It's stumbling distance from Allen St if you're looking to party it up.
