I know everyone is probably sick of hearing about it but this new Nokia n810 and the xjournal program that lets you handwrite full size pdfs and draw on them as journaled diary pages is like everything I ever dreamed of.
Hopefully now my handwriting just gets better.

New Doctor and AllergiesCategory: crohns
Dr. Bartolone believes it is crohns too. Says it doesn't matter either way as the meds are the same. I guess I really am on asacol for the rest of my freakin life. I am going to do a time lapse of my 270 pills in a bottle going away to 0.
At least it doesn't have any real side effects for me. He said if I am not experiencing them now, I won't probably later.
So seriously, no one knows what causes this and I am at least lucky that mine is manageable. I think I will just east healthy from now on and hope for the best.
I hope medical science figures out some more details, someday.
And I got a copy of my allergy tests. I am way less allergic to dogs than cats. It wasn't just in my head. I am as allergic to maple and birch trees as I am to dogs. Cats I am way allergic to but even more than that I am alergic to mold that grows on plants and ragweed. In fact I am almost 5 times s allergic to ragweed as I am to trees.
They are sending me for a celliac disease test too s the other allergy test only confirmed an allergy to wheat and not that I am gluten intolerant.
Dr Bartolones office is so the future of doctors offices. It was beyond clean and formal. Everything was digitized and all the nurses carried portable tablet PCs. Even the screen had privacy screens. Morever, all the signatures were digital.

Its like the future. I kind of expected to get in some pod and have them hold a tricoder over me. I was on my Nokia tablet the whole time before and after and then went through a self checkout and ate a sushi bar. It was exactly what I expected from the future minus the take a red pill - in five minutes take four more - help is on the way.

yeah, that's how my neurologist's office is too. everything is super digital. they just press a button and it automatically faxes my scripts to my pharmacy, or they automatically print their scripts from their tablet to a script writer. they're probably able to afford that because they have 30 thousand patients that visit that office.

GPS 7Category: mobile
This is my seventh GPS device and I think my favorite yet. There is something ironic about taking a picture of this new device and talking about it from my windows mobile device.
Oh god, how I am going to choose what mobile devices to carry with me. I think the tilt but really be the best one ever. The keyboard on it is just so damn good. If only it ran something besides windows mobile.

On The phone waitingCategory: crohns
I spent so much of the morning on the phone waiting on hold to try and get all my medical records and test results to one place for a doctors appointment this afternoon.
Luckily, you can program and wait so it wasn't so bad. I am going to try and get my own copy of it all, now that it is in one place. This should be exciting to see one gastro enterologist who specialized in these types of problems, with all my test results (CT, colonscopy, and blood test) all in one place.
The doctor is Dr. Bartolone over at Buffalo Gastroentrology Associated at 60 Maple Rd.

Before I even told him what was wrong he looked at me and said holy Jesus you shouldn't have waited so long to call me. It took a bit of talking to convince him I hadn't drastically lost weight. [He's kind of a big dude.]

Oops I meant n810 not n900. The n900 had its own connection but it was on tmobile so I never got one.
Ya it totally connects to wireless. It can also use another phone to get online. It think its actually the fanciest electronic device I ever owned. Its real metal, beautiful high res screen. I bought it like 3 and a half years ago and it still better than most of the devices I have minus that it didn't have its own connection. I looked online and they still go for like $325 - crazy.
You want to borrow it?
I think I would draw a ton more if I had a tablet on the go and my drawing my get better... Right now, I struggle with expressions and active forms.
WOW - I need exactly THIS. Handwriting. Drawing. Online Connectivity. Storage for a zillion PDFs. Support for annotation.
Can't you hack this phone to connect to wireless hotspots at the least?
I really miss the nokia n900. I wish so bad that it could have had a mobile connection of its own or that the new version was on AT&T. The handwriting with the stylus using xjournal was incredible.
