victory!There is a girl in my chorus who began this year not liking me. At all. And she was veeeeeery clear and vocal about it. She liked the other teacher and that was it. No ifs ands or butts. This girl has total anger management issues that i hope she deals with as she gets older (she's only a freshman). She used to make it a point to say "Hello" and "Goodbye" to only the other teacher and not to me even if I was standing right there.
Well HA HA HA looks like the tables have turned. I've gotten several "hellos" and "goodbyes." WITH a smile. AND she has even stayed after class to tell me stories, and she is going to try a solo for me sometime.
...HAAAAAAA!
Don't think that I place a lot of value on how my students feel about me. I know I'm not here to win a popularity contest and I really couldn't care less if the kids liked me - it's totally about respect. But this time, I feel like I should do a little victory dance. "The angry girl doesn't hate me anymore, the angry girl doesn't hate me anymore..."
And oh man thanks for the comments you guys. Seriously they made me laugh so hard. Would you believe I never even thought to do anything violent but now that y'all mention it...and (e:Anne) is right. As far as dress and general attractiveness, there's no contest...and that's all that really matters.

PISSED OFFSo i saw the program for the concert I'm singing in in Fredonia on Sunday. And who is singing RIGHT AFTER ME but my fucking ex-boyfriend's current girlfriend. I am so pissed off. Why? Who knows. Mainly because she is definitely better than me and so she will just sound way better after I'm done because I sound fine but she is better. Everyone compares people to other people. You can't help it. Plus i will have to see her backstage and she will be the first goddamn person i see when i get offstage. Who puts two sopranos RIGHT AFTER EACH OTHER when we are the only two singers for the whole goddamn concert? I'm so pissed off. I AM SO PISSED OFF!!!!! All this hard work and preparation and now I am just pissed about the whole thing AHHHHHHHHHHHH

The shank "Nancy Kerrigan" method probably isn't the best idea, although it would probably be the most fulfilling. Just play the scenario through in your head, then move on to the right thing to do - proceed to not give a shit, look smokin' and give her that catty, icey steely stare that women seem to love to give to guys. :(

Think of it kinda like but kinda differant than the opening act at a concert. Yes the opening act is usaly thought of as not as good and as ment to warm up the crowd. But also the opening act has often stolen the show and ben better. Hey just do your best and you will be fine. You could also pretend you don't know her. Also remember that you two broke up for a reason. I thought I read long time ago that you ended it with him, if that is true then her being with him shouldn't bother you. I know it maybe awakward but it is only a competition if you make it one, so don't make it one. Stay Cool, and Calm and you will be just fine. Hope that helps some.

if you let it bother you it may effect you in the moment. it may be hard but if you carry on like it does not exist then not only will you do excedingly well, but, you may be able to extend some existential backlash onto her and you know.....make her suck and then, oh, idk, start on fire or something. that'd be something.

So, you will pass her backstage just before she goes on ... that's when you shank her. You can make a clean getaway while she's onstage trying to sing in immense pain.

i'm pretty sure i put down estrip for both. so hopefully everyone else will do the same.
MK, I didn;t write anything about this yet because the last two years our votes got split down the middle for best blog and best website. We can never win for best blog because we are not a blog but a collection of blogs so I think we would have to win for best website. Hopefully everyone votes for that.
